It is an Electronic Private Automatic Branch Exchange which can interface 2 P&T Lines to 6 Extensions, The system is built around 8085 Microprocessor including various Digital & Analog circuits such as Timers, Counters, Buffers, Opamps, PPI, Line impedance matching circuits, RAM etc.

Its main features are as follows,

It is an advanced Intercom developed to provide communication between Elevators (Lift car) and Control room or Security which is vital during installation or emergency.

The Circuitry involves 8751 Microcontroller, Cross point analog switches, DTMF Transmitters and Receivers , Opamps, Logic gates, Voice switched Speaker Phone circuit, Hybrid SLIC’s etc.,

Its advantages over conventional Intercoms are

Easy Conversation from Lifts through hands free DOOR-PHONE provided (single Button operation for calling)
Four DOOR-PHONES can be put on conversation at a time in conference mode
Internal/ External music play facility at DOOR-PHONES during idle condition

Password lock.
Pulse / tone dialing.
