Clarinettiste, il est � la fois complice de Jacques Di Donato et Fr�d�ric Le Junter. Il multiplie les collaborations du noisy � l'�lectro en passant par la po�sie sonore : Martin Tetrault, The Ex, Peirre Berthet, Etage 34, Axel D�rner, J�r�me Jeanmart, John Butcher, Jean Pallandre, Marc Pichelin, Chris Cutler, Martine Altenburger, Camel Z�kri, Emmanuelle Pellegrini, Michel Don�da, Fr�d�ric Blondy ... Il travaille en relation avec diff�rents groupes et collectifs (des Kristoff K.roll � la Flibuste), compose pour le th��tre, notamment la Compagnie Fran�ois Lazaro. Ses recherches musicales actuelles l'orientent vers un syst�me incluant clarinette, basse pr�par�e et installation de hauts-parleurs vibrants : des univers sonores aux fronti�res de la musique improvis�e, du rock noisy, de l'�lectroacoustique. Il est �galement profond�ment engag� dans la vie musicale � travers l'organisation du festival "Densit�s". The work of clarinetist Xavier Charles ranges from noise to electro-acoustic via sound poetry. He has played in numerous new music fesivals in France and abroad. Charles collaborates with both Jacques Di Donato and Frederic Le Junter. In his work with groups and collectives, he has also collaborated with Martin Tetrault, The Ex, Peirre Berthet, Etage 34, Axel D�rner, J�r�me Jeanmart, John Butcher, Jean Pallandre, Marc Pichelin, Chris Cutler, Martine Altenburger, Camel Z�kri, Emmanuelle Pellegrini, Michel Don�daand Fr�d�ric Blondy. The artist has composed for the theatre, most notably with the Theatre Fran�ois Lazaro. Currently his musical research ranges from performance on the clarinet and bass to the installation of vibrating speakers, at the edge of improvised music, noisy rock and electro-acoustic sound. He's deeply involved in the music world as an organizer of the fesival "Densit�s". 1
