Jassem Hindi, french-palestinian, was born in 81, and lives actually in Paris. He started music in a punk rock band. Since 2000, he has been playing free improvised music on clarinet. He belongs to the young generation of parisian improvisers, and collaborates with most of them (of whom Quentin Dubost, Arno Riviere, Olivier Brisson, Etienne Foyer, Romaric Sobac...) in various projects (such as Tato Royo). His experience in free music has led him to work within different sensibilities, from minimalism to dense electro-acoustic textures. He has therefore begun to play also on mixing board (+ K7s, radio, no input...), following in a way the path of some clarinetist improvisers before him (as Xavier Charles). He is also an active member of the MILL, an association that curates an annual international festival for free music in Lebanon, and therefore closely collaborates, since 2000, with improvisers such as Sharif Sehnaoui, Christine Sehnaoui, Mazen Kerbaj, Charbel Haber... 1
