Emma said her
goodbyes to TJ and Sam, which wasn’t easy.
“So, I guess
we won’t be going to Warped Tour together this year. That sucks.” TJ said.
“Yeah, maybe
I’ll catch a concert in Maryland or somethin’. I’ll miss you guys but I sure
won’t miss this stupid state!” Emma told TJ.
“We’ll miss
you too Emma. Don’t forget to call or write! Heck, why don’t ya do both!” Sam
suggested.

“Wake up
Emma, the plane is landing.” Phillip lightly shook his daughter awake.
Emma slid the
headphones off her head, which had been repeating her Distiller’s cd.
They loaded
all the baggage they were able to bring along with them on the plane into the
rental car. The rest would be arriving in a moving van, courtesy of her
father’s Boss.
They pulled
up in front of a one-story house. It wasn’t very big but it was much bigger
than their apartment had been.
Emma entered
the house following her father. They set their bags down in the front room and
looked around the house. There was one master bedroom, which had a connecting
bathroom. There were two other bedrooms in the house that were connected with a
Jack-and-Jill bathroom. One room was slightly larger than the other so,
naturally, Emma chose that one.
Bringing her suitcases
in the room Emma stored them in the walk-in closet she now had in her room.
“Now, if you
aren’t too tired. It’s time to go shoppin’!” her father said with a cheesy
grin.
“Dad, you’re
so dorky!” Emma laughed.
It was only
4:30pm so Emma and her father headed to the closest store, which happened to be
a Target.
“Alright. You
can go and find some sheets for your bed and a comforter. You can also find
some things to decorate your bathroom with. But please, try and keep it cheap!”
her father told her.
“Okey dokey
daddio!” Emma said heading off in the opposite direction.
Searching the
Target for the linens and stuff she stopped short when she saw two boys in the
video games section. There was a blonde boy and a boy with dark brown hair.
Both had spiked their hair but the boy with brown hair has slightly longer
spikes.
“Hmm.. the
boys here aren’t too shabby!” Emma thought.
As she walked
away, the two boys turned around right as she was turning the corner. They both
had caught a glimpse of her pink streaked hair. They were about to follow when
another boy showed up. They all walked away and left the store.
Meeting her
dad at the front, she placed her chosen items on the counter.
On the way
home, Emma saw the boys that she had seen in the store, but now they were
accompanied by another boy who looked similar to the boy with brown hair but he
had his hair combed back. As she looked out the window the boys spotted her and
the first boy she had seen with brown hair smiled.
“He has the
cutest smile.” Emma thought to herself.
“Why don’t ya
just take a picture.” her dad joked.
“Dad!” Emma
said playfully shoving her dad.
