The next day
when Emma walked into Mrs. Spencer’s class, Tia stood up with her friend
Cordelia, and they both walked over to her.
“Ya know
what? Whatever you have to say, I don’t wanna hear it so, how ‘bout you don’t
waste anymore of my time and go away?” Emma shot at them, before they could say
anything.
“Your not as
cool as you think you are. So don’t mess with me. I’m the most popular girl in
school and I can make the rest of your time here a living hell!” Tia replied.
“Oh wow, I’m
scared now! What are you gonna do? Pull my hair? Oh wait, you might break a
‘precious nail’.” Emma said mockingly as she started to walk away.
“Hey!” Tia
yelled.
“What do you
wa....” Before Emma could finish her sentence, Tia slapped her across the face.
It was ten
minutes before class was to start, so the room was pretty much emptied. The
only people in there were the book worms, who were occupied with their books,
and the jocks, who obviously wanted to see this little cat fight and would do
nothing to stop it.
“Oh, that’s
it you B****” Emma screamed as she punched Tia in the stomach.
*a/n: umm
don’t ask where the adults are, cuz I don’t know!*
Cordelia
stepped over Tia, who had fallen down holding her stomach.
“Oh what’s
this? You have to get your friends to fight your battles?” Emma said, ducking
before Cordelia could grab her hair.
Just as Tia
was getting up to take a swing at Emma, Mrs. Spencer walked in the room.
“What in the
world is going on in here?!” she screeched.
Emma and Tia
didn’t notice the intrusion until after Emma had blocked a punch and given one
of her own that landed right on Tia’s eye.
“Ladies! Both
of you to the principal’s office! NOW!” Mrs. Spencer yelled.
As Emma was
walking out of the room, Benji and Roxi were walking in.
“What
happened to her?” Benji asked, referencing to Tia, who had just walked past him
with a swelling cheekbone.
“She ran into
my fist.” Emma explained with a smirk on her face. “But, I have to go now.”
“Where to?”
Roxi questioned.
“Principal.”
said Emma, still smiling.
As Emma
walked down the hallway towards the principal’s office Benji nudged Roxi and
said, “Second day here and she’s already been sent to Fabio.”
Fabio was the
nickname for their principal. His real name was Mr. Dorazio. They called him
Fabio because he had shoulder length, blonde hair, and he wore baggy shirts
that looked like he was going to tango.
*a/n:umm I
don’t think a principal is allowed to have long hair or whatever..but let’s
just pretend! hehe*
............................................................
“Second day
at school, and you’ve already been sent home for fighting?” Emma’s father said,
slightly amused.
Her dad was
not the strict type. He had certain limits, but overall he knew that Emma was a
good kid.
“It was her
fault.” Emma said, meaning Tia.
“Alright,
well I’m gonna have to just drop you off at home. I have to go back to work.”
Emma walked
in the front door. It was only 8:00am because Emma had gotten into the fight 10
minutes before her first class. School started at 7:30am.
“What am I
supposed to do? I can’t walk around town cuz then they’ll call the cops on me
for ditching.” Emma said to herself.
To pass the
time, Emma painted her nails black and watched some movies. Around 1:30 the
doorbell rang.
“Wonder who
that could be.” Emma thought.
Getting up,
Emma answered the door. It was the delivery service with their stuff.
“Sign here
please.” the worker said as two other workers were unloading the truck and
setting all the boxes in the front room.
After they
had left, Emma searched through the boxes to find the one that said ‘Emma’s
Decorations’ on it.
Finding the
box, she carried it into her room. Opening it up, she found her posters and
pictures.
When the
doorbell rang at 3:00, Emma had just finished stapling the last poster on the
wall.
“Coming.” she
yelled as someone knocked.
Opening the
door, she found Benji standing there.
“Hi.”
“Hey.” he
said with a grin. “So, what happened that made Fabio send you home?”
“Fabio?” she
questioned.
“Yeah, that’s
Mr. Dorazio’s nickname. I’m guessing you could figure out why now that you’ve
seen him.”
“Oh, yeah.
Come on in and I’ll tell you. Don’t mind the boxes, they just came.” she said
as Benji stepped in.
They made
their way towards the family room and sat down on two separate couches.
“Nice place.”
Benji said.
“Haha.
Thanks.” replied Emma.
“So, what
happened?”
“Tia was just
sayin’ some stuff, then she slapped me so I punched her!” Emma said smiling.
“Dang.”
“What’d I
miss in class today?”
“We were
assigned groups to work on a project. Roxi and I volunteered you to be in our
group. Hope you don’t mind.”
“But I wanted
to be in Tia’s group.” Emma pouted jokingly.
“Oh, but
don’t we all?!” Benji mocked in the same joking manner. “Well, I was just
stopping by, but I’d better get home now. Haha, know what I’ve realized? You
live right behind me!”
“Dude! That’s
cool.” Emma said. “Wanna just jump the fence?”
“Sure!”
“But don’t be
thinkin’ you can just jump the fence whenever! Or I’ll have to call the cops on
you!” Emma teased.
Benji jumped
the fence and was gone.
“Interesting
kid.” thought Emma.
*a/n: Sorry for the lameness. It’s almost 2:00am and I am fresh out of ideas for this story for now!*
