Doll Eyelashes  Done the Imp's Way
Preparation and Fabric:

Be sure to use a stretchy fabric for the head and face.
Use a "thready" fabric such as organdy for the eyelash material. Choose your color well, that is the final eyelash color.
Anchor the eyebeads by pulling to the back of the neck and pulling to make the bead indent in the face.

Using a whip stitch, start whipstitch on the outside upper eyelid and catch the bottom lid. Pull together to for a slight cover over the corner of the eyebead.
Continue the whip stitch on the upper lid only, working your way to the inside eyelid. When you reach a couple of stitches to the inside corner, catch the lower lid and whip stitch both together, pulling them to tighten the inner eyelid over the beadeye. End at the tearduct by pushing the thread to the back of the head and anchor.

Attaching the Eyelash....fabric.
Take a piece of thready fabric, cut a rectangle and fold to the size of 1" by 2".  Begin to whip stitch the fold of the lash fabric to the upper outside lid. Continue this stitch on the upper lid until you reach the tearduct. Anchor.

You may want to shorten the lash fabric so that it does not extend past the tearduct. lean scissors from nose to tearduct, trim the fabric from the top to the fold just endding at the tearduct.

Adjusting the eyelash.  Pull the eyelash fabric between two fingers, down and then back up to readjust the whip stitches and to settle the eyelash.

Trim the top of the lash to adjust shape and length.

Pull threads out of the eyelash, one at a time until real close to the eyelid.  What remains are the horizontal threads.
