The Truth About Iraq:

What Hollywood liberals say, and what they really mean.
The overwhelming majority of entertainers, radicals, and other disaffected leftist idiotarians have lined up in favor of appeasing Saddam Hussein and avoiding war.  This is a brief summary of the facts, the idiotarian party line, and what these "Hollywood liberals" are really thinking.
Liberal claim: This is a war being fought for oil.

What the liberal really means: This war is being opposed for France and Russia's oil.  When they have so much money tied up in Iraqi oil, their interest must be protected.

Fact: Wartime fears have artificially inflated oil prices and hrmed the economy.  Obtaining oil would be easier if the United States appeased Iraq and invested in its oil infrastructure.  War will actually cause Saddam to torch the oil wells.

Liberal claim: Iraq is totally disarmed.  The inspectors have found nothing.

What the liberal is really saying: I sure hope they won't find anything.  This is quite some game of hide-and-seek.

Fact: If you try looking for a needle in a haystack, or chemical weapons in a moderate-sized country with untold numbers of underground bunkers, you wouldn't find anything, either.

Liberal claim: Iraq has no nuclear weapons program.

What the liberal really means:
The UN had better not find Iraq's nuclear weapons program.  That would implicate the French for violating the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Fact: France sold a nuclear reactor to Iraq and provided them with enough Uranium to build one nuclear bomb.

Liberal Claim: Saddam is a bad man, but that doesn't justify removing him from power.

What the liberal is really saying: Saddam Hussein is my socialist brother.  I wish to sleep with him.

Fact: Saddam is just one of many Ba'athist rulers in he Arab world.  The goal of Ba'athism is to unite the Arab world under a socailist, nationalist government.

Liberal Claim: The Iraqis will not go down without a fight.

What the liberal really means: It won't be much of a fight.  The Iraqis will probably fight as bravely as the nation that armed them in the first place--FRANCE.

Fact: The Iraqi military uses second-rate equipment from our "friends," France and Russia.

Liberal claim: War is never the answer.

What the liberal really means: I'm a Frenchman--too cowardly to face war.  Appeasing the enemy is so much better and less frightening.

Fact: There are many times when war WAS the answer: the American Revolution, the American Civil War, World War II, and, most recently, in Afghanistan.

Liberal claim: War COULD lead to the deaths of 80,000 innocent people.

What the liberal really means: And I COULD be boning Britney Spears.  Possible, but the odds against it are astronomical.  I just hope these people are too stupid to figure things out.

Fact: The United States armed forces have traditionally gone to great lengths to avoid killing civilians.  In a future conflict, upwards of 80% of the munitions will be guided, infrastructure will be spared, and microwave wapons will be used to non-lethally destroy electonics.

Fact: Iraq is still holding over 600 prisoners from the first Gulf War, mostly Kuwaitis

Liberal response:
The Iraqis don't have these prisoners.  They must be telling the truth.

What the liberal really means:
What do we care if they've still got a bunch of towel-heads?

Liberal Claim: War would be pre-emptive and in violation of international law.

What the liberal means:
Let's wait 'till they kill a few thousand Americans, or a few thousand Israelis.  More Americans must die before the corrupt nation learns its lessons about exploiting Mother Earth's resources.  If Israelis die, that's great, because Zionists oppress the peaceful suicide bombers of Palestine.

Fact: Pre-emptive war against Germany in 1936 would have saved millions of people who died in WWII.

Fact: Saddam Hussein has committed acts of genocide against the Kurds and Shiite Muslims.  The political power in Iraq is held by Sunni Muslims, who make up 20% of the population.

Liberal response:
Atrocities do not justify military intervention.

What the liberal is really saying:
Military intervention was OK in Kosovo when no U.S. interests were at stake.  Why is Iraq different?  Refer to previous comment about "towel heads."
