Re: Resident's Complaints Pertaining to Security and Misuse of Facilities at Impian Heights Apartments, Puchong Jaya.

We, the residents of the above, would like forward a list of complaints for your kind attention and further action.

Security
1. Stringent checks on vehicles and persons entering /exiting the main entrance/guardhouse are not conducted as required.
2. The exit gate/barrier is constantly up and therefore does not serve its purpose. Any persons/vehicles exiting are just ignored.
3. The pathway near the guardhouse should be sealed/fence-up to prevent unauthorized persons from entering/exiting the premises.
4. Most of the guards are not courteous and are improperly attired while performing their duties.
5. Guards are not strategically stationed to deter would-be parking offenders and robbers.
6. Proper tables should be provided for guards stationed at lifts and the apartment entrance foyer. Presently, old tables with unsightly posters/stickers are being used. This reflects poorly on the image and standard at the apartment, thus gives a bad impression to our visitors. One visitor commented: "this place looks like a low-cost flat".
7. Guards sitting/hanging around at tables chit-chat loudly for hours and disturb the peace. Sometimes, loud music is played with their radios. They also have great fun shouting (and laughing loudly) at each other using the 2-way communication set that they carry.
8. Instead of patrolling, guards are often seen loitering and chit-chatting with the shop operators in the shops.
9. Outsiders are often seen using our facilities i.e. swimming pool and basketball court. They consist of schoolboys and friends of the shop owners. Some even jump into the pool in their ordinary shorts and even sarongs for girls.
10. Motorcycle stickers should be provided to residents in order for the guards to identify outsiders.
11. Frequent breakdown of automatic access gate results in unauthorized vehicles entering and parking at residents' parking bays. This has also caused heated arguments.
12. Rusty drum, broken chairs, semi-damaged umbrellas are placed at the automatic access gate. This is very unsightly and gives a very unfavorable impression to all visitors who will see it as they enter the visitor's parking lot next to it.
13. Intercom system is not utilized by guards when visitors are queried and prevented from entering. Residents should be informed by intercom so that we can confirm their identities and purpose of visit.
14. Guards should monitor the loading/unloading of lorries/vans. This is to prevent break-ins and removal of property.
15. Guards on night patrols slam the fire exit doors as they go on each floor. This noise is very loud and wakes up/frighten babies and young children.

Parking
1. Cars are still parked at the motorcycle bays and this denied the rights of motorcyclists who have to squeeze their vehicles closely together in a tiny space.
2. Frequently, cars are parked at the main entrance of the apartments and this hinders the flow of vehicles and pedestrian traffic.
3. Inconsiderate car owners are "booking" parking bays at visitors' parking lot and also the unloading bays at Tower B by placing stools, boxes and tyres. This has been ignored guards patrolling the area.
4. Cars are parked at dangerous places i.e. corners, outside parking bays and rest areas.
5. Cars not parked at proper parking bays should have their tyres clamped. Is the signboard
warning of clamping just for show?
6. Parking bays should be numbered clearly by bright paint and in bolder font. Presently, we can observe numerous art work done in various shapes, colours and sizes by frustrated residents.

Shop Operators
1. Shop operators at Tower B place their unsightly chairs and bubble gum machine outside their shops at the entrance foyer. They sit around chit-chatting loudly with their friends (outsiders) at the entrance foyer. This practice is a nuisance and embarrassment to residents and is beginning to look like the environment at low cost flats.
2. Outsiders are frequently seen visiting the shops and disturb the tranquility with their presence. This poses a security risk to the residents, particularly children.
With these insights into our declining living standards and conditions, we hope that you will immediately look into all the problems/complaints so that we, the residents, can have a safe and conducive environment to bring up our children and also to grow old in comfort.
Your immediate attention and action to resolve these problems will be highly appreciated.

Thank you

Signed by a number of Impian Heights Residents.
