So, forget the problem where sound won't come out of my computer.  Now, poor Vincent won't turn on... hasn't been able to for over a week now, and I'm sorry this update comes late, but as you might imagine this is more difficult when one's home computer won't turn on and the only other computer is a work computer... I do what I can.  And since the nice people in charge of the warranty have not quite understood what the problem is (How many times you have to say, "The only thing that happens is the LED behind the Start Button blinks... no, it still won't turn on... Yes, that's a light blinking behind the power button and one behind the number 4 on the panel... no, there aren't any letters illuminated..." before the guy on the phone knows not to ask if there are any lights in the box, and whether or not they're blinking is not a number I know off the top of my head, but I think it's less than fifteen), and the person to whom they're supposed to ship the part (which may not be the right part) still doesn't have my case in his tracking system...



I have no idea when Vincent is going to be operational again.  My harddrive is still good, so I tried pulling the data off of it onto my roommate's computer, but alas the plugs don't match.  "Silly Skinner," you might say, "why didn't you back up your very important data?"



To which I reply, "I do back up my data.  All of my raw files are on discs, all of my finished episodes are either on MegaUpload or on MegaUpload *and* on a disc, and all my episodes in progress are *usually* on my flashdrive."  It just so happens that within 24 hours of me clearing that data temporarily off my flashdrive so that I could make a large data transfer, my computer inexplicably stopped turning on.  Hopefully,  I will never be that dumb again.  So, I could skip the two episodes I've got in progress right now, and I might start timing it, but I'm not going to release translations out of order.
