Episode 9 Available for Download
I have posted the link to the Episode 9 download on the Shounen Onmyouji project page... sorry I didn't have this out my Saturday as I had planned, but my computer started blue screening unexpected ly on Friday. I'm still on schedule, so I won't fret.
The Gackt videos are also on hold until after Shounen Onmyouji is complete, because I won't have time to learn my new program until then. I've just picked up Aegisub for the purposes of learning to do the kind of pretty subtitles that require more finesse from one's subbing program, and as there is no guide to its use that I've been able to find I'll have to put off production with it until I've had a chance to mess with the features. On Which Note: The lack of tutorials available for would-be fansubbers on the internet is frankly appalling. After I complete Shounen Onmyouji and my time-sensitive costuming projects, I'm going to write up a tutorial of everything I've learned and make it available on this website. It will be as complete as I can make it... turns out, my methods aren't that much more crude than the most established digital fansubbers I can think of. I don't typeset, or edit really, but as far as timing and encoding go I'll be happy to share what I've learned with anyone looking to get into fansubbing. It remains true that one shouldn't really start a fansubbing group without putting some serious thought into the effect on their schedule and sanity. This guide will also include notes on what you should expect from adding a fansubbing group to your life. All this and more once I finish my marathon of Shounen Onmyouji. 9 down, 17 to go.
