Well, Hurricane Otakon is over, I haven't even cracked the Harry Potter book I went to such lengths to get, and in the wake of all that anime exposure I finished subtitling episode 5 of Shounen Onmyouji... I was so happy that I got to see an Abe no Masahiro cosplayer at Otakon, as well as being thrilled that several members of Dattebayo use the same programs I do - out of date as they are, they still work.  I can't translate quite as fast as they can, but I estimate that as of Episode 5 I'm taking about 9 hours of actual work time to complete an episode.  If I can manage to get 3 hours a night most nights, I may be able to speed up my releases to 2/week.  We'll see.  The last thing I want to do is burn out, since that's three or more hours of subtitling every day on top of 9 hours in an office and 4 hours of commute.  And I'm allergic to caffeine.



But if that's what it takes, I'll do it.  My goal is to, by the end of the series, be able to sub an episode in one night.  If I can do that, maybe every other night I can get some sleep... (Hah.  Like I sleep.)



Sumeria, who through her constant support is the main cause of me subtitling Episode 5 almost entirely in one night, will be uploading the file soon (since I won't be getting my own internet connection until Saturday), and the Shounen Onmyouji details page with subsequently be updated to reflect this.
