Recently, ICANN has deregulated the registration process for .com, .net, and .org domains. InterNIC has been changed to
Network Solutions. There are over more than a dozen different registration services now charging different rates for
domain names and different packages for them.
Most domains are still registered by Network Solutions (formerly InterNIC).

people outside the U.S., you can call them at (402) 496-9798.
