Description
: Naqada is strange. He looks different from other Halamay but such thoughts are usually dismissed in awe. Or aww depending on who you are. He is thin and agile and extremely cat-like as all Halamay are, but his eyes are very wide and not slanted like other Halamay. His face also isnt as long as other Halamay. His canines are sharper then most Halamay and his claws are much longer and sharper. His skin is very pale like all Halamay and he has large cat like ears. His eyes look dead and emotionless and have a slight green tint to their grayness. His face looks almost doll like but in a haunting way. He looks lovely when calm but amazingly scary when hes mad. Especially when hes hissing. (Halamay thing). Hes feminine looking with long lashes and dainty features and his voice is high and girl-like or better yet he sounds like a young boy even though hes full grown. But if anyone tells him he looks like a girl hell get very insulted and pissed and depending on your status either kill you or scratch you up. He is very thin and graceful and has a cat like grace to his movements as most Halamay do. Oh, and his senses are more keen then a normal Halamay, and most races get a slight heat on some certain month and well his is a month early. Oh, and I didn't re-realize this until lately... but while drawing kitten I remembered that there is a sort of gothic morbid dead kinda quality about his emotionless eyes and pale skin and colorless clothes. So remember... Naqada is really spooky looking. I was getting to caught up in bushi-ness before but.... he's freaky.
History:  Naqada was raised until age 6 on this island holy to the Halamay. As tradition states, the future king will grow up in this place of paradise to learn to love peace and happiness so that when they become king they strive to achieve such things in their empire. Had this tradition not have been so imbedded in Halamay myth his father would have forced Naqada to skip in entirely. But anyway, Nsaqada is the son of Zoca, the Halamay King. Naqadas purpose is to be Zocas perfect heir who will carry out his brain washing and hatred into the future so that his empire may reign supreme. How will Zoca achieve this? Beat, brainwash and train the poor boy until he is completely the puppet of Zoca. To do this Zoca put Naqada through the tests of Hogul. Hogul is the largest temple of Zoon (war god) and here they torture people until they no longer respond to pain, fear and major emotions. He also had a Nifcan priest (God of knowledge and the sky) teach Naqada all of the newly fabricated and twisted myths and histories of the land so that Naqada was lead to believe that all people who were not Halamay were animals without souls and are diseased, dangerous, and so stupid they were only capable of mimicking Halamay inventions and speech. Zoca also taught Naqada how to fight and do a highly complicated dance that helped him control his movements soo well he can do some pretty bizarre and freaky contortionist things as well as flips and stuff. This all worked mostly, except the Nifcan priest pitied Naqada and told him that in Hogul they were trying to kill him inside, and that he must not let this happen. He taught Naqada to go emotionally dead when needed, but be able to stay alive inside. Also the Nifcan was a kindly pedophile heh. So he taught the little prince a few more things besides myths and how to preserve his sanity. Once Nowcara passed these things at age 10 he was brought to a mining camp were imprisoned children of other raced where forced to mine the white metal thrist. Here he was to practice what he learned on actual soulless folks. At first he struggled just the slightest bit with his task, but ended up hating the animals just as much as his father did. He prevented a major escape and personally took it upon himself to enforce stricter rules and deal out the punishments. When the slaves finally escaped the mining camp Naqadas least favorite slave, a young Seprkle called to him that they would meet again and that he would kill him. Naqada was startled at first but was soon able to brush it off. When he returned home (and got very harshly punished for the escape) he started to hear about the earless warrior in the east. Knowing that this warrior was the Seprkle slave who threatened his life he began to panic slowly getting more scared and paranoid about this supposed demon warrior. At any mention of him Naqada got terribly uneasy. Noticing this Zoca sent him back into Hogul to work the fear of this warrior out of his head. In Hogul his fear was converted to pure loathing, but deep inside he was still scared to death of the man, believing that his promise would some day come true. Then for the next couple of years many things happened. At age 14 Naqada finally hit those golden years of development (heh) and was hit by an over whelming heat a month before the normal Halamay does. Not able to think straight at all he was amazed at the beauty of a Seprkle prisoner (dude) while staying with the General Zephyr (assigned to go stay with the general to observe the ways of war). And well this was the Seprkle month to be intoxicated by heaty-ness as well lucky them so lets just say stuff happened. And Zephyr walked into the middle of it. He knew, and Naqada knew that if this ever got out Zoca would probably kill Naqada and try to make a new perfect heir. So Zephyr blackmails him. Now, the two hated each others guts so Naqada thought all hed have to do is wash things and say yes sir all the time and other annoying things, but in rolls the next month for Halamay uber horny time and Naqada found himself being blackmailed into some different sorts of activities. Yes. You comprehend. After that Zephyr discovered that it was kinda awesome having Naqada as a little love toy Naqada was stuck serving that position. Mean while he is often sent to other generals in other regions to learn what they had to offer. One of the generals was the kinda and brilliant Theravadus, a young lovely guy and the two fall head over heels for each other. So in other words, hes traveling all over the place with different generals and other such people to learn about war and other violent and useful things, and he most likely kill anyone not Halamay so role players beware. Let me just say in the book him and Sleam (the slave warrior dude) meet up and have some fun fun that involves driving each other mad.
