up to 77 submissions now, which is a little less than last year at about the same time, but they're still trickling in day by day, so i'm not too worried. yet.

got too caught up with my own writing (a short story among other things ...) and have gotten behind on paying attention to the submissions. i really should start reading them this weekend and stop messing about with personal writing.

got a submission from a 2007 director and am a bit worried about how i'll handle a rejection if it gets to that. of course i shouldn't think so negatively, but it is a possibility. i should ask someone else to read that one, most definitely!

and i hate to admit it, but i got a submission from someone with a name that's *almost* like a word for part of the human anatomy and i just near cracked up. really juvenile, i know, but it caught me unawares. sorry!
