yay! last day for submissions! and first day to start seriously sweating about doing second round readings ...  there are just so many that have something special about them, but in the long run (as i've written again and again but still feel a bit badly about), i can only do 10, and those will ultimately be chosen by directors and not readers.

from the looks of my inbox, i'm thinking that i'll eventually end up with 400+/-  submissions, which is pretty amazing considering that last year we peaked at 216 and the previous year we only got around 60.  and a LOT of that is owed to the anonymous (or not so anonymous) playwrights who heard the word and spread it to The Loop, NYCPlaywrights.org, and En Avant: thanks much!
