Zakaat

Zakaat means to purify,in Islam when a person gives zakaat she/he does not give charity but purifies oneself.A muslim should know the spirit of giving zakaat along with the guidelines.
Volume 3, Book 47, Number 764:Narrated Asma:
Allah's Apostle said, "Give (in charity) and do not give reluctantly lest Allah should give you in a limited amount; and do not withhold your money lest Allah should withhold it from you."
As we know that we should be foremost runners in giving zakaat, not to be seen of men but to seek the pleasure of Allah.
In my zakaat calculator my attempt has been to cover most articles on which zakaat is due, even though one must refer to people well known in the field about other articles not covered here or for the accuracy of this article.
