Is Gender alternation & plastic sugery allowed in Islam?
There is one Quraanic verse to explain the entire matter.
"And most certainly I will lead them astray and excite in them vain desires, and bid them so that they shall slit the ears of the cattle, and most certainly I will bid them so that they shall alter Allah's creation; and whoever takes the Shaitan for a guardian rather than Allah he indeed shall suffer a manifest loss."(4:119-120)
But there few exceptions to the above rule
1)Circumcision.
According to
SAHIH BUKHARI,Volume 8, Book 74, Number 312
Narrated Abu Huraira: "The Prophet said "Five things are in accordance with Al Fitra (i.e. the tradition of prophets): to be circumcised, to shave the pelvic region, to pull out the hair of the armpits, to cut short the moustaches, and to clip the nails.'
2)Treatment for physical deformation.
My answer to this would be that isn't pork allowed in an urgent situation in the Quraan(2:173)?In the same way if a person suffers physical deformation she/he may be treated to cure this deformation.
