POLLUTION

Introduction

The numerical multiplicity, the variety and infinitely rich relationships between, and behavior of, living beings are of inestimable value to everyone and everything on Earth: clean air, uncontaminated water, healthy, sustainable vegetation all depend on this richness. It can be forcefully argued that it is not enough merely to classify example-species and attempt to preserve them one by one. It is respect for the whole that counts just as much: after all, we cannot (nor should we try to) predict or select how specific strains, genes and species evolve. The environment will live has become a source of infectious diseases, our movement has also been restricted as a result of this danger in our community resulted from experimental errors by our chemists or researchers that fails to declared their experimental failure during their course of experiment. This failure resulted to any form of Pollution of the holy Continent. Pollution is of types namely: Climate Change, Acidification, eutrophication (atmospheric deposition), Urban air quality, and Tropospheric ozone. All these are environmental problem cause by human being on their environment. PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES: .

SCIENCE. : LEVEL 10-12

Lesson Goals

  • Students will use the opportunity of the courses to study human activities in their various communities.
  • This topic will give the students a wider view of unseen sources of pollution.
  • Science students will have the opportunity to carries out experiment on Acidity of the environment.
  • It will help to improve student's health status.

Content Objectives

  • Students will learn more about all aspect of pollution and the effect in our community.
  • Students will also learn about data collection
  • Students will learn to plot an experimental graph to assess their result
  • Students will also pollution affect our live in the community

Performance Objectives

  • Individual student will have to carries out a particular experiment on pollution.
  • This will involves taking a topic on all types of pollutions
  • Students will complete a visual web about pollution
  • Students will displace a graphic illustration in power point on the trend of pollution.

Technology Objectives

  • Students will use inter- net to search for information about the topic.
  • They will use their various finding to draw a graph to shows the effect of human being on our community.
  • They will use power point to present their report to the school science club.
  • They will be able to share the ideas gained with other colleagues.

Instructional Activities (teacher component)
I the instructor will create a main folder for all the students where various group will submit their information. Iwill also provide few web addresses and the students will have to search for more. I will also carry out experiments in the course of delivering my lesson in the class to support my findings. Students will learn how to use computer to plot their report and presentation of the report using power point

Learning Activities (student component)
The template will be their instructional guide during their individual work and this in no doubt make their work faster and interesting

Instructional Strategies
The template will be loaded by easy group to the teacher main folder and their work will be copy in the floppy disc as a sub folder for easy group. Assistance will be provided for slow learners too to do their work at their own pace.

Project Assessment
Assessments take the form question in the courses of delivering the topic. Individual work will be encouraged. Creation of price for best group will bring about competitions within the students. Examination will be the final assessment format for the students. Project Materials and Handouts
The basic handout will be the template that will serve as the guideline for the related information needed. Inter net browsing will also be another sources of information for the projects. Individual knowledge will also play a role. Intuitive

Lesson Resources
