14. Project Summary;
There has been a
lot of discussion at the national,International
level on the need for a basic health amenities and Government of India has also
proposed "Health for all a war on disease and
ill-health is essentially a war on poverty .All for health 2020. The United Nations hass also declared that major absence of
disease is not health. Whatever might be the expectations or
targets of the Government the real situation at the village level shows that most of the people in the rural villages are leading an
unhealthy life and they are to be helped and guided to lead a
healthy life. In this connection the Organisation "Indian Radicals & Orphan Fellowship" Nidaddavole, West Godavari District, A.P.
has come forward to elaborately extend the programme
on the above title in the surrounding 25 Villages. Many Countries have planned to create the AWARENESS ANDD PRECAUTION MEASURES PROGRAMME about
HIV/AIDS as the Global issue in these present days.
FIGHT AGAINST AIDS WORLD WIDE
HIV- Human Immunodeficiency Virus;<
AIDS - Acquired Immunodeficiency Syyndrome..
In general women
in India have low social economical educational
and legal status than men and also illiterate and under privileged. Many women
in India depend up on their husbands
for both economic support and social acceptance. "Knowledge is power"
The dreaded AIDS, infection continuues to effect men and women and also children around the world with a sppan of just over one decade. Aids
have been recorded from almost every places including INDIA. As
estimated 13 million men women and children have already been
infected with AIDS virus - HIV every day an estimated 5000 people are newly infected.
There is a need to turn special heaalth education measured on AIDS
suitable. Particularly for women and literacy campaign for household women with
voluntary health agency like-IMOF-Nidadavole. Rural masses
including students are ignorant about AIDS
The Organisation - IMOF - Nidadavolee would like to take up a sustained mass media campaign certain awarenesss generation activities implemented
among higher level of school and collage students and a
large number of youth forums. All affected by AIDS receive proper care and treatment inside as well as out side. Starting up a
comprehensive counseling support, programme. Globally the most
important mode of spread of HIV epidemic is through
heterosexual
transmission, multi sexual behavior and sexual inter course with prostitutes.
HIV is spreading among injecting drug users, female
commercial sex worker and their clients and wives. Commercial blood donors are
also being infected. BLOOD DONATED - LIFE GIVER COULD TURN LIFE TAKER. The availability of injects able
Heroin the traditional method of smoking Heroin in India and
Asian countries and also smoking of the cheaper Brown Sugar. Mother to baby during pregnancy:.
AIDS is a DOUBLE EDGED SWORD - whichh produces double or even triple
tragedy namely- Death of parent Death of the infected children and
insidious, Death of a whole community . Pain
in the patient, the pain in the family and the pain in the Community.
15. Project
implementing Agency:-
This agency was registered under thhe societies Registration Act 1860 in
1982 and also Registered under Foreign contribution Regulation
Act in 1985. For the past several years, this agency has
been taken up various childcare projects and conducted health camps and eye
camps for the rural masses. In 1990 this society
has implemented an agricultural development project and leveled lands CASA, Madras, has provvided 60, tones to undertake the
above project..
16. Objectives:

17.
Opinion of the Organizer:
To achieve this goal of ours, we aree sincerely and seriously determined
to programme in children welfare. We will be making a great service to these
unfortunate children who are born with or acquired HIV/AIDS.
This will also be in consonance with the programs of the national manifesto in regard to upliftment oof poor and needy children. Our
efforts in this direction will be helping Nation
Building in our own small way. We continue to discover new avenues of service
and help the process of human development further it should be brought to the
door step of each and every citizen in particular to the
children living in various places of the 30 million people living in the world, 9 out of 10 do not know that they are infected.
7000 young people aged 10-24 infected with HIV every day. Five young people are
infected with HIV every minute. 1.7million young people are
infected with HIV every year in Africa, 7,00,000 young people are infected
every year in Asia, and Pacific. More than 333 million new cases of AIDS per
year are among young people.
By the year 2020 there will be over 40 million orphans under the age of
15 in 23 countries highly affected by HIV/AIDS. Most of
the children will have lost their parents by AIDS.
The social and economic conditions in which they live reduce their
ability to project themselves and others against HIV
infection. There are 250 million working children under the age of at least one
third are performing dangerous work such as bonded labour, commercial sex and domestic service young people wwho are commercial sexually exploited
have little or no power to negotiate safe sex, children or young are often
denied their sight to education about the health risk of
sexual and risk behavior and to important tools and services for protection
lack of respect for young children.
Number of AIDS cases who die annuallly by 2000 - 10 millions. Number of
children under 15 years who are orphans - 9 millions. Life expecting
to all from 62 years to 47 years in A.P. total infected
(HIV) 3,426. Infants and children mortality rate continue to be still high and
increase rapidly by HIV/AIDS.
