NARRATOR:
Once upon a time there were three Little
Pigs, who lived at home with their mother and father.
FIRST PIG:
I'm the first pig. My name is Marty.
SECOND PIG:
Hi, I'm the second pig. My name is
Barty.
THIRD PIG:
Hello there, I'm the third pig. My
name is Smarty.
NARRATOR:
Now the three brothers grew up happily
together, but finally they were old enough to live on their own.
MOTHER PIG:
Now boys, you are all grown up, and you
are not kids anymore.
FATHER PIG:
Yes, now it is time to leave your mother
and father, and make houses for yourselves.
3 PIGS:
Oh, Mother, Father, do we have to?
PARENTS:
Yes, Marty, Barty, and Smarty. It
is time to make your own houses.
3 PIGS:
Well, okay.
FIRST PIG:
Good bye, Mother pig.
SECOND PIG:
Good bye, Father Pig.
THIRD PIG:
Good bye, Mother and Father.
3 PIGS:
We will miss you!
PARENTS:
Goodbye, little pigs.
NARRATOR:
So the three little pigs went out into
the world to make their homes. They took their wagon and walked down the
road.
HAY SALESMAN:
Hay! Hay! (holding some) Nice fresh
hay.
FIRST PIG:
Hello there, how do you do?
HAY SALESMAN:
I'm fine, thank you, little pig.
Do you want to buy some hay?
FIRST PIG:
Hay? What is it for?
HAY SALESMAN:
Well, sir, hay is delicious for eating,
and it's soft to sleep on, and it's good for building houses!
PIGS:
Houses!
FIRST PIG:
We need to make some houses. What
do you think, Barty?
SECOND PIG:
Well, I don't know....
FIRST PIG:
What do you think, Smarty?
THIRD PIG:
Well, I don't know either....
FIRST PIG:
Well, I think we'll try it. I'll
buy some hay, sir.
HAY SALESMAN:
Very well, little pig. Here you are!
NARRATOR:
So the hay salesman gave them lots of soft,
fresh hay. The three little pigs found a good spot by the road and
began to build a house of hay.
PIGS: (singing)
Hay, hay, every day
We will love our house of hay
You can tell Father and Mother
Where to find the three pig brothers!
NARRATOR:
But as they worked, the big bad Wolf came
by and watched the three little pigs from behind a tree.
WOLF:
Hello there! (to the audience) I
am the Big Bad Wolf. I am very hungry! MY favorite food is....young
pig! And I think I can see my breakfast, lunch, and dinner over there!
Yummy......!
NARRATOR:
When the pigs had finished their work it
was late and they went inside their new house of hay for a rest.
And that was when the wolf came to the door.
WOLF:
Ko ko ko! Hello, are there
any pigs in there?
3 PIGS:
Who is it?!?!
WOLF:
It is I, the Big Bad Wolf!
3 PIGS:
And what do you want. . .?
WOLF:
I want to EAT YOU UP!
"Little Pigs, little pigs, let me in!"
3 PIGS:
"Not by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin!!"
WOLF:
Then I'll huff and I'll puff, and I'll
BLOW your house down!
[WOLF blows the house down and the pigs flee offstage.]
NARRATOR:
So the three little pigs ran away and the
wolf could not catch them. The next day, they went out into the world
to make their homes. They took their wagon and walked down the road.
WOOD SALESMAN:
Wood! Wood! (holding some) Nice strong
wood.
SECOND PIG:
Hello there, how do you do?
WOOD SALESMAN:
I'm fine, thank you, little pig.
Do you want to buy some wood?
SECOND PIG:
Wood? What is it for?
WOOD SALESMAN:
Well, sir, wood is good for making fires,
it's good for making furniture, and it's good for building houses!
3 PIGS:
Houses!
SECOND PIG:
We need to make some houses. What
do you think, Marty?
FIRST PIG:
Well, I don't know....
SECOND PIG:
What do you think, Smarty?
THIRD PIG:
Well, I don't know either....
SECOND PIG:
Well, I think we'll try it. Wood
will be stronger than that silly hay you bought, Marty, if the big bad
wolf comes back! I'll buy some wood, sir.
WOOD SALESMAN:
Very well, little pig. Here you are!
NARRATOR:
So the wood salesman gave them lots of
strong, sturdy wood. The three little pigs found a good spot by the
road and began to build a house of wood.
3 PIGS: (singing)
Wood, wood! Wood is good!
We will love our house of wood.
You can tell Father and Mother
Where to find the three pig brothers!
NARRATOR:
But as they worked, the big bad Wolf came
by and watched the three little pigs from behind a tree.
WOLF:
Hello there! (to the audience) I
am the Big Bad Wolf. I am very hungry...even more hungry now than
I was yesterday!!
NARRATOR:
When the pigs had finished their work it
was late and they went inside their new house of wood for a rest.
And that was when the wolf came to the door.
WOLF:
Ko ko ko! Hello, are there
any pigs in there?
3 PIGS:
Who is it?!?!
WOLF:
It is I, the Big Bad Wolf!
3 PIGS:
And what do you want?
Once more, they took their wagon and walked down the
road.
BRICK SALESMAN:
Bricks Bricks! (holding some) Nice
strong bricks.
THIRD PIG:
Hello there, how do you do?
BRICK SALESMAN:
I'm fine, thank you, little pig.
Do you want to buy some bricks?
THIRD PIG:
Bricks? What are they for?
BRICK SALESMAN:
Well, sir, bricks are good for building
houses!
3 PIGS:
Houses!
THIRD PIG:
We need to make some houses. What

FIRST PIG:

THIRD PIG:
What do you think, Barty?
SECOND PIG:
Well, I don't know either....
THIRD PIG:
Well, I think we'll try it. Wood
will be stronger than that silly hay you bought, Marty, and much stronger
than that wood you bought yesterday, Barty...if the big bad wolf comes
back! I'll buy some bricks, sir.
BRICK SALESMAN:
Very well, little pig. Here you are!
NARRATOR:
So the brick salesman gave them lots of
solid, strong bricks. The three little pigs found a good spot by
the road and began to build a house of bricks.
3 PIGS: (singing)
Bricks, bricks will do the trick.
We will love our house of bricks.
You can tell Father and Mother
Where to find the three pig brothers!
NARRATOR:
But as they worked, the big bad Wolf came
by and watched the three little pigs from behind a tree.
WOLF:
Hello again! I am the Big Bad Wolf.
Today I'm REALLY hungry...and I have not eaten for three days! I
WANT A PIG DINNER!
NARRATOR:
When the pigs had finished their work it
was late and they went inside their new house of bricks for a rest.
And that was when the wolf came to the door.
WOLF:
Ko ko ko! Hello, are there
any pigs in there?
3 PIGS:
Who is it?!?!
WOLF:
It is I, the Big Bad Wolf!
3 PIGS:
Oh, no! Not again! And what
do you want this time?
WOLF:
I want to EAT YOU UP!
"Little Pigs, little pigs, let me in!"
3 PIGS:
"Not by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin!!"
WOLF:
Then I'll huff and I'll puff, and I'll
BLOW your house down!
NARRATOR:
But this time, the brick house was too
strong. The Big Bad Wolf could not blow it down! He huffed
and he puffed, but it was no good! He fell down on the ground, tired
out.
WOLF:
Whew! (collapses)
NARRATOR:
When the three little pigs saw the wolf
sleeping on the ground, they came out, happy as they could be.
3 PIGS:
(dancing around the body of the wolf, and
tying him up with ropes)
Bricks, bricks, they did the trick.
We sure love our house of bricks.
You can tell Father and Mother
Where to find the three pig brothers!
[The 3 PIGS take the wolf's body and throw it offstage, dusting their hands off. Then along come the PARENTS, walking down the street.]
NARRATOR:
When they had thrown the Big Bad Wolf away,
the three little pigs' mother and father came down the street to see how
their sons were doing.
MOTHER PIG:
Well, boys, how are you doing?
FATHER PIG:
Have you made a house for yourselves yet?
NARRATOR:
Just then the hay salesman, the wood salesman,
and the brick salesman came by.
[The 3 PIGS greet the brick salesman warmly, shaking hands with him and patting him on the back. The PIGS invite him in along with their PARENTS, and they close the door, remaining outside with the other two SALESMEN, who move as if to enter the house, too.]
FIRST PIG:
[Pushing on the salesman's chest to hold him
back, belligerently]
Just a minute, hay salesman!
SECOND PIG:
[Pushing on the salesman's chest to hold him
back, belligerently]
Just a minute, wood salesman!
THIRD PIG:
Where do you two think you're going??
HAY SALESMAN and WOOD SALESMAN:
Um, hum, what's going on here?
FIRST PIG:
Who ever told you that hay is good for
making houses?
[Hits him in the mouth; he falls down unconscious]
WOOD SALESMAN:
Huh? Oh, my gosh!
SECOND PIG:
Hey you, who ever told you that wood is
strong enough for building houses?!
[Hits him in the mouth; he falls down unconscious,
next to the HAY SALESMAN]
THIRD PIG:
OK boys, tie them up!
[The 3 PIGS tie them up and throw them away offstage, dust their hands off, and take a bow, and then go inside their sturdy brick house]
NARRATOR:
And they all lived happily and safely ever after.
The end!
