Dr. Kwadwo Appiagyei-Atua is a leading consultant in immigration law and international human rights law. He completed his Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B) with honours at the University of Ghana, Legon. He then proceeded to the Ghana School of Law for his BL degree (Barrister-at-Law), thus qualifying him as a Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of Ghana.

After practising in Ghana and doing some research and teaching at the Law faculty, Legon, Kwadwo left for Canada to pursue his Masters degree in law (LL.M) at the prestigious Dalhousie Law School where he graduated in 1994.

From there, Kwadwo entered McGill University, Montreal for his doctoral degree in law which he completed in 1999.

Kwadwo is an avowed human rights activist. His hobbies include reading, watching basketball, playing soccer, writing novels and articles and surfing the net.

As a family man, Kwadwo is married to Comfort with whom they have two boys: Ekow Leon and Yaw Ansa. They belong to the church of Christ.
