| About Immersion Dance Company |
| Since 2004, Immersion Dance Company has been committed to creating dances that impact a wide range of audiences. This highly moving female group displays an emotional and powerful interpretation of dance. Collaboratively, they create art with an energy that brings something unique and innovative to the stage. Immersion presents an annual concert in the Hillwood Recital Hall of Tilles Center for the Performing Arts. This is where they held their concert debut Inventing Dimensions (2004), followed by Extra ORDINARY People (2005), Skimming the Surface (2006), and Conversations (2008). In March 2006, Immersion successfully turned a dance studio into a theater, complete with curtains and lighting, presenting Movement Frenzy: A Night for Merging Styles with guest dancers from The Dance Depot. Since July 2006, their annual summer performance is presented in the Long Island Arts Council at Freeport's Summer Concert Series. In December 2006, Immersion held two full program performances hosted by The Tank in New York City. In September 2007, Immersion premiered Conversations in the 1st Annual New England Fringe Festival and received the Producer's Award in recognition of their performance. Immersion's New York premiere of Conversations was held at the Jericho Public Library in December 2007. In September 2008, they were featured as dancers and choreographers in the multi-media collaborative production of ARTmosphere presented by The Artist's Group and held in the Concert Hall of Tilles Center for the Performing Arts. Following ARTmosphere, Immersion traveled to Boston, Massachusetts to perform Conversations in the 2nd Annual New England Fringe Festival. Immersion closed out their 2008 season by performing in the Faculty Benefit Dance Concert supporting the Dance Department of Long Island University, C.W. Post. Most recently, Immersion has premiered their season of Transcending Roads at the Jericho Public Library in March 2009. Immersion made their international debut in the International Choreographers' Showcase presented by Dance-Forms Productions at the prestigious Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Edinburgh, Scotland, August 2006. Immersion featured three pieces in six consecutive shows at the Roxy Art House. In July 2008, Immersion performed for enthusiastic audiences at the 22nd Annual World Dance Conference in Athens, Greece and the 41st International Choreographers' Showcase in Giovinazzo di Bari, Italy.
