A Christmas Invitation” Presented by The Adult Choir Tuesday, December 24, 5:00 p.m. “Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and His name shall be called Emmanuel (which means, God with us).” Matthew 1:23 |
A WORD FROM WILLIE
|
"And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.'' Luke 1:31-33 NKJV It is an exciting time of year! Everyone is working hard to make Christmas special for others. People are making and buying gifts for their loved ones and even for people they don’t even know (Operation Christmas Child). It is truly a time of giving. The greatest gift ever given was the gift of God’s only Son Jesus Christ. The One who was conceived in the womb of the virgin Mary by the spirit of God. The same One who would become salvation to all who would believe on Him and in Him. He is our fortress. He is our refuge. He is our strength. He is our hope. He is our peace. Jesus is Alpha and Omega. Jesus is from the very beginning and will always be. There is salvation in no one else. Life is all about Jesus! If someone gave you the most expensive brand new 2003 Lexus with all the latest and shiniest gadgets, would you go over to your friends and show it off and offer them a ride in your brand new car? Would you drive it around town hoping that people whom you know would see you and want to know about your new car? Would you read the owner’s manual so that you could know how everything works? Then you could show them all the wonderful things that your new car could do. I don’t know about you, but I would do all those things. God gave to you and me a gift that is more costly than all the riches of this world. The gift is salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. The real question here is what have you and I done with this gift? Are you showing your friends, family, and neighbors the most precious gift that was ever given to you? Take time this CHRISTmas season to share your gift of Jesus with others. I love you, Immanuel Church Family!!! Love in Christ, Pastor Willie |

Thank you for all your visits, flowers, cards, and phone calls, but most of all for your love and prayers. I feel truly blessed to be a part of God’s family at Immanuel Baptist Church. God’s hand is upon me and I know I will be fine. Continue to pray for me as I take my treatments. Love in Christ, Dottie Lane |
