“By our baptism, then, we were buried with Him and shared His death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from death by the glorious power of the Father, so also we might live a new life.”

A WORD FROM WILLIE

“The Fall Festival Was Great!”

Greetings in the glorious name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  It is such a pleasure to be writing you again and to share with all of you wonderful people what the Lord is doing here at Immanuel.  We are still experiencing growth with people and or families joining just about every week.  People are coming to saving faith in Jesus Christ, and this month we will be baptizing those in our morning services.  The Lord is also sending to us people who are excited and ready to serve the Lord where God has gifted them.  Our Sunday School is growing, and it looks like we will have to start more classes in the near future.  Our Adult Choir is growing, and they have begun to practice for the Christmas Cantata “Come and Worship; A Christmas Invitation.”  This will be a special musical that will bless your heart.  WOW, the Lord is doing great things at Immanuel, like:

The Fall Festival!  The Fall Festival was a big success!  We had so many volunteers coming out from everywhere.  It was so good to see so many people that we did not know come and visit with us at the Fall Festival, and tell us how the whole family had a good time.  We had so much candy, that we ended up giving it away to another Fall Festival that was taking place the next Saturday.  When God pours out His blessings, it just spills over and blesses others.  The thing that blessed me most, and I know it blessed the Lord, was seeing all the Immanuelites (people of Immanuel) reaching out in love and visiting with our guests.  I was told by many of our guests that they felt so welcome here at Immanuel.  My friend… that is a testimony of the love that is so prevalent at Immanuel.  I know that with all that love, God will continue to bless Immanuel!  I want to express my appreciation to Connie George and Zany Sadler for working so hard organizing and leading this great outreach event.  I also want to say a big thanks to all the ladies, men, and youth who volunteered their time and talents to make the Fall Festival a success.

The Heaven Seminar!  I was so blessed by the presentation of heaven by Brother Fred Overton.  It was such an inspiration to all who attended on the wonders of heaven, our future home.  We are only passing through.  One day we will go home and dwell with the Lord forever and ever!!!  Let’s show Him our thankfulness by serving Him today!
Sermon topics for this Sunday are:

AM Service: “Wanted:  Dead or Alive”
PM Service: “No Excuses...No Complaints”

                                                 Love in Christ, Pastor Willie

THANK YOU,
FALL FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS!

When I asked for the members of Immanuel who were interested in helping with the Fall Festival to meet down front in the sanctuary one Sunday, I was totally amazed at the number of people who came.  I knew then that God as up to something BIG, and He certainly was.  Our Fall Festival was a huge success because the members of Immanuel Baptist Church were so willing to serve Christ:  from the ladies decorating the fellowship hall, to the cooks, to the youth, to everyone who came and just welcomed the visitors.  A special thank you to Zany Sadler and Bob Richards who worked so hard in creating our games.  I know that God will bless our efforts.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your effort to reach our community for Christ.
                                                  In His Love,
                                                  Connie George
