ROUND-UP SUNDAY
SUNDAY SCHOOL
HIGH ATTENDANCE DAY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6

Please come and bring your family and friends for a fun filled and inspirational day.  There will be a covered dish luncheon following the morning service.  Afternoon activities will include hayride, horseshoe throwing competition, and other fun events.  Come in your Sunday overalls and/or western wear!

A WORD FROM WILLIE

“IT’S TIME FOR A ROUND-UP”

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus!  It is so good to be writing to the most wonderful people in the state of South Carolina.  You may be asking, “Who is Pastor Willie talking about?” I am talking about all of you Immanuelites.  (Those of you who are members of Immanuel Baptist Church.)  It is a joy and a delight to serve the Lord in the midst of such wonderful people.  I want to thank you who are faithful to God in your attendance, service, and your stewardship.  Keep it up and I know that God will bless you!

I am also so excited about the additions of Henry and Christine Cash, Staci Rittmeier, and Rosey Rogers to the Immanuel Family the last two weeks.  We also have many more who have joined our Sunday School within the last month.  Wow! Praise be to the Lord!

It is time for Round-Up Sunday!  I am so excited about Round-Up Sunday!  It is going to be a wonderful day beginning with Sunday School at 9:30. There is a class for everyone from birth through 105 years of age. I guarantee that there will be fabulous fellowship and brilliant Bible study.  Then after Sunday School join us for a Super Worship Service filled with singing praises to our God and the preaching of God’s Word. While you are enjoying the service, your children will be blessed with a service of their own at “The Harbor.”  “The Harbor” is our Children’s Church ministry filled with songs, puppets, Bible games, and Bible stories that speak to their age. After the children’s and adult services, we will meet together for Fun, Food, and Fellowship. There will be more food than you can shake a stick at. Bernie is barbequing a hog, and steaming lots of shrimp. Tilly is bringing the fried chicken, everybody is bringing their best covered dish creations. And the men are baking the best cakes for the Men’s Cake Baking Contest. There will be lots of activities from hay-rides to four wheelers to horseshoes competition to a greased pig chasing contest.

And the youth have challenged the adults to a volleyball game.  It will be a fun filled afternoon. So dress in your best western duds and join us for a great time that you will not soon forget. Invite your friends, family, co-workers, school mates and neighbors for a wonderful day in the Lord.

   Love in Christ,
   Pastor Willie

APPRECIATIONS

We want to thank all of you for the prayers upon the death of my mother, Dorothy Wright.  Please keep them coming!
   Love in Christ, Karla McDowell

Words can be woefully inadequate just when we need them most.  My family and I are thankful for the Christian love and friendships that encouraged us, for the visits and hugs that strengthened us, for the prayers that sustained us, for every act of kindness that comforted us.  Thank you for your willingness to share our sorrow and grief.  Join me now in the joy of knowing Aubrey is now sheltered in the arms of Jesus.  God is good.  Praise be to God.

   Catherine Deas and Family

Dear Immanuel Friends,
Thank you so much for your prayers, cards, and visits during my stay in the hospital.  It was so good seeing each one of you who visited me.

   Blessings to you, Nancy Jackson
