Coty Alexander
- Bio
Coty Alexander won the role of
portraying the world's most eclectic performer…Madonna, in one of the most
renowned impersonator cities in the world....Las Vegas. For 12 years Coty has portrayed
Madonna on the biggest impersonator stages such as Legends in Concert and American
Superstars, proving her ability to give a first-rate tribute to Madonna. She
has accomplished the diversity of the star’s career and spans the ages of
Madonna from the Like A Virgin days to the present disco infused album Hung Up,
with highlights in between such as; Blonde Ambition, Dick Tracy, Evita, and The Girlie Tour. Magazines like Showbiz have
touted, “The look
and the voice are incredibly matched,” In What's On “She gives the material girl a makeover with an
amazing voice that proves her talent as a singer on her own” and in Destinations
Las Vegas “She performs
dead on renditions.” Having the look,
the ability to dance and the vocal quality to match Madonna is no easy task,
but with Coty’s fiery energy and determination, with an attention to detail, makes
it seems an easy role for Coty.
Aside from the billboards and taxi cabs and some
twenty magazine covers, Coty's reputation of an “immaculate” portrayal has been
distinguished by programs like The
Surreal Life, The Carson
Daly Show, Good Morning America,
E! Entertainment, MTV, the Travel Channel, Discovery, Rolling Stone, the Los Angeles and New York Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. Her latest claim
to fame is when producers of Madonna’s latest tour documentary followed her
around for three days shooting the life of a professional Madonna impersonator
in Las Vegas.
Coty didn’t stop at Madonna when impersonating though,
and has expanded her diversity with her newest act -- Gwen Stefani. She performed this excellent tribute on stage
at “Legends in Concert” in Las Vegas,
recently! Other notable tributes by Coty include Marilyn Monroe and Britney
Spears.
It’s no doubt that Coty Alexander
comes from a performance family. She was
performing by the time she was five. She
started her impersonating career at
eight when she was asked to play Shirley Temple on stage. Coty's passion was
dance though, and she grew up performing all over the nation in dance teams,
and also did fashion modeling as a child.
She started acting as a teenager and has appeared in many national
commercials, infomercials, music videos, television, film and radio ads. She even had an appearances as a football
cheerleader, a martial artist, a country singing troupe, and appeared as Red Sonja
in The Conan the Barbarian show at Universal Studios. Her career as a singer began when she and her
older sister started a duet and won their place traveling throughout
Japan and Korea for the U.S.O. When her
sister, Ashley made her album, Coty
sang one of her songs and soon after won the interest of an up and coming
director and made her first music video. Coty is a member of the American Federation of
Television and Radio Artists, the Screen Actors Guild, and E.Q.U.I.T.Y.
