Cleaning out your temporary internet files
Every time you launch Internet Explorer it
attempts to load all the pages it has previously used into your PC’s
memory. Every page you go while on the
internet saves itself as a temporary internet file on your computer without you
being aware of it. Over time it will
take longer and longer to open Internet Explorer and will slow down your
internet surfing. It is important to
clean these files out daily to keep Internet Explorer from slowing down. Please follow these instructions to keep your
Internet Explorer working at optimum speed.
Right Click on Internet Explorer and go to Properties
Click the button that says Delete Files located underneath the Temporary Internet Files section
You will receive a pop up with a checkbox that says Delete all Offline Content. Check this box. This will get rid of the temporary files stored on your C: drive. Click OK.
Your temporary internet files have been cleaned.
