What is the difference between a KB, MB etc when looking at the size of something on my PC?
1 byte = A byte is the unit most computers use to represent a character such as a letter, number, or typographic symbol (for example, "g", "5", or "?")
1 KB (kilobyte) = ~1,000 bytes (about 1,000 characters)
1 MB (megabyte) = ~1,000 kilobytes (about 1 million characters)
1 GB (Gigabyte) = ~1,000 megabytes (about 1 billion characters)
1 TB (Terabyte) = ~ 1,000 Gigabytes (about 1 trillion characters)
