*A/N: Whoo! It's been a looong time since I've posted anything or anything like that. But, here I go with the beginning of a sequel! So, hope you enjoy it ... and I keep up with it!*

*~*~*

Early September, 1999

Brianna sat patiently, but nervously in the waiting room. There was another couple across the room from her sitting side by side, apparently waiting for news as well. A few minutes later, a young couple burst out the door from the back office. They both looked ecstatic and Brianna couldn't help but smile at them as they rejoiced at the good news they had so obviously just received. Glancing again at the couple across the room, Brianna drifted away to her thoughts.

*Flashback*

It was mid-July and Brianna's flight had finally landed at the airport in Virginia. As she stepped off the plane, she saw her friend of seven years, Kaylei, standing by a nearby row of chairs with her hands in her pockets.

Brianna approached her. "Hey Lei!" she exclaimed.

"Hi Anna!" Kaylei yelled. They talked about the flight as they walked to the baggage claim downstairs. It had been a year and a couple months since they had last seen each other, and even longer since Brianna had seen the boys of Good Charlotte.

In the summer of 1998, after graduating high school, Brianna packed up all of her belongings and made the move across country to Arizona. She had been back there quite a few times since her first visit in March of '96 and had grown to love it. She planned on attending college there at Arizona State University, where her cousin Jenna had graduated from, to major in journalism, and was to share an apartment with Emberlyn, who she had become good friends with over time. When she left Maryland, Benji, Joel, Paul, Billy and Aaron were beginning to make a name for themselves and gain a loyal fan base on the east coast, so unfortunately they were not there to see her off, due to a show they had to play that night.

Kaylei led Brianna to the parking garage where the rental car that she had 'stolen' from the boys was parked. They put the one large suitcase Brianna had brought in the trunk, and her smaller, carry-on bag in the back seat and headed off to the hotel where they were to meet the band at.

"Everyone is real excited to see you," Kaylei announced, "it's been so freaking long!"

"I know, I know," Brianna said with a huge smile on her face, "I can't wait to see and talk to all of the guys again! And of course you too."

"Well, I don't know how much talking you'll get in; the guys have to play a show tonight." Kaylei informed regretfully.

"Yeah well, I was expecting that." Brianna remarked. She had decided to visit while the band was in a mini-tour type thing, so she was indeed expecting to be in a different city almost every night.

Small talk occurred between the two, and soon the arrived at an extremely large hotel. It looked very fancy from the outside, and inside was even more impressive. She entered the through the automatic doors to a huge lobby and looked up to see maybe six stories of rooms and a giant chandelier hanging from the top of the ceiling into the middle of the lobby. She stood and admired the site until Kaylei brought her back to reality.

"C'mon Anna. Elevator is this way." she said, dragging Brianna's suitcase behind her.

Brianna followed and watched as Kaylei pressed the "4" button, which would take them to the fourth floor.

"Expensive much?" Brianna said once they were inside the elevator, referring to the hotel.

"Dude, I know. We've been staying in nice places like this since the tour started!"

"You tour with them?"

"Yeah, I'm their so called 'merch girl.'"

"That's cool. So you can keep an eye on Benji, huh?"

"Yeah, and believe me, he needs it. I swear, he is more immature now than he was in high school."

Laughing, the girls exited the elevator as the doors opened and Kaylei led them to a room about half way down the hallway. She slid the card into the door and pulled the handle when the green light flashed it's okay.

Walking into the room, Brianna saw Paul lounging on the couch watching a t.v. screen that Joel was playing a video game on. Benji and Billy were nowhere to be seen.

"Look what I got, everyone!" Kaylei yelled into the room. Joel paused the game and looked up to see 'what' Kaylei had gotten, and Paul rushed over, squeezing Brianna in a tight hug. Joel was next, and the two held each other for nearly a minute. When he pulled away, Brianna smiled and kissed his cheek. They never really broke up, but at the same time, they were no longer considered a couple anymore because the distance had separated them. But even still, both were still in love with each other. Billy, who was brushing his teeth when Brianna entered the room, came next and then Benji, who was spiking his hair up in the bathroom was last. After the show that night, Brianna and everyone else went to Denny's to catch up on each others lives before heading out on the road once again. And so began the next three weeks.

The night before she left for her home, Brianna and Joel spent some alone time together in a hotel room. After talking and reminiscing and saying how much they've missed the other, one thing led to another and another and they ended up "catching up" in their own little way. (<~ If ya know what I mean!!) This was the night that would change Brianna's life forever.

*End Flashback*

A doctor opened the door and called out Brianna's name. Brianna stood and followed the short, stubby woman to her office.

"Please, have a seat," the doctor, Mrs. Buckner, motioned for Brianna to sit in the chair across the desk as she took a seat herself. She organized some papers in front of her and then folded her hands together, looking back at Brianna. "Well," she began, "your results are in." Mrs. Buckner paused for a moment and then a smile crept up on her face. "You're going to have a baby."
