Three days after Brianna had left for Arizona, found Kaylei standing at the front door of the twins' house waiting for someone to answer. About a minute later, Joel answered the door in a white t-shirt and blue plaid pajama pants. His hair was tousled and he looked stressed. "Hey Kaylei."He half smiled while he ran his hand through his hair.

"Hey Joel. You okay" she asked concerned.

Joel shrugged and opened the door for her to come in. "Benj isn't home."

"Isn't he over at Billy's?"

"Yeah. You are more than welcome to stay here and wait for him if you'd like. He should be coming home soon."

"Thanks." She smiled. "I'll just go wait for him in his room."

Kaylei walked down the hall to Benji's room, Joel watching her as she went. "See, she cares." He thought to himself smiling.

Kaylei sat on Benji's bed and picked up the music magazine that was on the floor and began flipping through it. She would glance at the clock on his night stand every so often, only to find out that it had only been a minute or two. She was about to lie down on the bed when she noticed Joel standing in the doorway. "Hey Joel. What's up?"

"Nothin' really. I was just, never mind." Joel looked away and seemed really tense.

"Is everything ok Joel?"

"It's just ... Anna." When he said Brianna's name he looked straight into Kaylei's hazel eyes.

"You ok Joel? Wanna talk?" She patted the bed next to her and Joel sauntered over and sat down. "You miss her don't you?" she asked, not knowing what had happened between the two the night before Brianna had left.

"I don't know." Joel responded as he sat next to Kaylei on the bed.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Kaylei questioned him, not totally understanding what was up.

"I feel like she doesn't care anymore." Joel was looking down at his hands while he said this.

"Of course she cares Joel! She cares a lot about you."

"She doesn't care like you do." He looked up at Kaylei and just stared at her. "You care about how Benji feels and about what has happened to our family. You care."

"Come on Joel. You know Anna cares about you. I know she does. How could you even think that?" Kaylei wondered.

"Well. She left without saying goodbye." Joel told her, skipping all of the major details about why.

"I thought she was coming over here after you had left Natalie's. She told me she was going to talk to you."

"She did. But she just sorta left."

"That doesn't sound like Anna to me. I don't know why she would do that." Kaylei said, not completely believing what Joel was saying. I'll talk to her about it when she calls me."

"Has she called you since she's been gone?" Joel asked.

"Yeah. Once. Last night. And she never mentioned any of this. Did she call you?"

"No."

"That's weird. I'll ask her about it. Until then, cheer up Joel!"

Joel looked up at Kaylei and stared into her eyes. Benji had just gotten home and had set his keys on the table in the front room. He walked towards his room and the sight that greeted him wasn't pleasant. Joel leaned in and kissed Kaylei's lips, neither of them pulled away. Gradually, Joel slid his tongue into Kaylei's mouth. This and Benji's yell made Kaylei jump and she noticed Benji standing in the doorway of his room.

"What the Hell?! What the..."

"Benji! Benji, I can explain." Joel stammered.

"I don't wanna hear it Joel. Get out." Benji ordered.

"But Benj, I'm sorry." Joel continued to search for words that would make up for his actions.

"OUT!" Benji screamed as he pointed out the door. He was staring directly at Joel, rage in his eyes. Joel did as he was told, looking back at Benji as he went. Benji no longer looked at Joel but turned his attention to Kaylei. The rage in his eyes turned into a deep hurt.

"Benj, I ... I'm ..." Kaylei whispered. She was scared of what Benji was going to say to her. She stood up and began to walk over to Benji to hug him.

"Leave." He responded, pushing her arms away. Tears began to brim Kaylei's eyes as she looked at Benji. He looked into her eyes and didn't know if he full of more anger or hurt. "Leave." He repeated when he noticed she wasn't moving.

"Benji. Please don't do this." she begged.

"Kaylei. I want you to leave." He stated.

"I promised I'd never leave you Benji. And I'm not going to break my promise." A single tear ran down her cheek and she looked at Benji apologetically. Benji didn't say anything in response but instead he grabbed her by the arm and pulled her out of his room. He went back into it, slamming and locking the door behind him. Kaylei stood outside of his door with her head rested against it. "Please Benji. Let me explain. I didn't know what he was doing!"

"Just go away!" he screamed.

"Benji, please!" she cried. There was no answer and the tears started falling down her face. She slid down and sat on the floor sobbing. Benji was sitting on his bed with his head in his hands on the verge of tears himself. He didn't know what was going on and he was confused, angry, and hurt about what he had just witnessed.

Meanwhile, Kaylei was still crying outside of Benji's door when he opened it, he looked severely hurt. Joel looked outside of his door from down the hallway and began stammering "sorry." Benji looked down at Kaylei who looked back up at him full of remorse. "Kaylei. Please just leave." He shut the door again and Kaylei stood up begging him to open it again. On the other side of the door Benji's head was rested against it. He just wished she would leave. From the other side of the door he heard Kaylei whisper, "I love you Benji."

(poor poor poor Benji! Betcha didn't see that coming, did ya?! Well, there was a lot of 'lookage' going on in this chapter. Hopefully the true other won't make people look as much in the next chapter! Well I hope you all enjoyed that! It was fun to write. P.s. I'm not too great at writing all that mushy stuff, it's kinda embarrassing! Haha.)
