Thursday February 13^th, Brianna happily bounced into the seat on the bus in the morning next to Kaylei. "Guess what, Lei?" she asked, beaming.

"Today is your birthday?" Brianna vigorously nodded. "Well happy birthday pal! I guess that means I'll hafta be nice to you today, huh?"

Brianna shrugged. "Guess so. Dude! My mom told me she's gonna take me tomorrow as soon as I get home to get my license! I hope I pass the driving test. Lei, in seven hours, I could be a licensed driver! Yessss!"

The girls talked about driving for the rest of the time until they got to school. The bus pulled into the bus loading/drop off zone, and Brianna was the first to rush off the bus. She waited right outside of it for Kaylei and then she went to her locker. After that, she raced to the usual morning meeting spot and practically made Joel topple over by flinging her arms around his neck. Kaylei walked a little slower than Brianna had, laughing to herself at her friend, who was trying to talk and kiss Joel at the same time. She knew that Brianna would be uncontrollably hyper all day; she always was on her birthday.

"Jooooeeeelllll!" Brianna squealed, running up and hugging Joel. "Guess what? Guess!!"

Joel laughed. "Um, I don't know?"

"Oh that's right. I don't think I told you. Even if I did tell you, you probably didn't pay attention to me!" Brianna kidded, "anywhoo! Today is my birthday!!" she gave him a quick peck on the lips.

"Shit! Are you serious?" Joel asked, a tad bit shocked that he didn't know.

"Mhmm! 16 today! I'm getting my license after school. Boo freakin' yah!" she kissed him again.

"I'll have to get you something, or take you somewhere tonight. Or something." Joel suggested.

"Nuh uh.." Brianna quickly kissed him, yet again. "I just want to drive your car today after school."

Joel hesitated a little. "You'd have to talk to Benj about that."

"Okay. BENJI!" Brianna yelled, going up to Benji. "Today is my birthday, can I drive your car?!"

"What? No!" Benji almost immediately answered.

Just then, Julie approached with a few small, multi-colored balloons and a giant cat balloon that had the words 'happy birthday' written across it, since cats were Brianna's favorite animals. "Here Anna, these are from me, Natalie and Amy. We didn't know what to get you, so we just got you a bunch of balloons so that you look like an ass carrying them around!"

"Thanks guys! Thanks a lot!" Brianna said taking the balloons, not caring if she looked like an ass or not.

"Oh crap, now I feel like a jerk telling you no, Anna." Benji remarked.

"You are!" Brianna replied.

"Fine! You can drive the car!" Benji finally caved in after a moment or so.

A smile lit up Brianna's face and she gave Benji a tight hug. "Thank you, Benj!"

"You're welcome. But I'm only letting you because it's your birthday." he joked. "But no really, happy birthday."

Brianna pinched Benji's cheek. "You're cute." she said. The annoying shrill of the bell was heard overhead and everyone parted ways.

Brianna walked around with the balloons all day, and got wished happy birthday by several random people, including Brandon. She went through the day excited about the upcoming afternoon. She was to meet Kaylei at the twins' house around 4:30 PM for her exciting driving adventure.
