Proud to be CANADIAN.
Chairman Kaga / Kaga Takeshi
Chairman Kaga / Kaga Takeshi
Kaga's so cool he gets his own subtitles...well, and a creepy British dub voice.  Acting like him is going to be great. *grin*  And who wouldn't like to be head of their own culinary army?
[Takeshi Kaga]
Takeshi Kaga // the Chairman
Ryori no Tetsujin (Iron Chef)
Cabbage Battle, Anglerfish Battle

Chairman Kaga rocks. ^_^  I love his wardrobe and he has dark hair, so why not make this costume?  Kaga, you're my hero!  Hee hee.  Ever since I saw a marathon of this show on Food Network while at a friend's New Year's party, I've been completely devoted to this show.  Keep in mind that this show SHOULD NOT BE ASSOCIATED WITH IRON CHEF USA!  Shatner is not Kaga...Shatner will never be Kaga!  Shatner made a good Cpt. Kirk, but, even if he is Canadian, he can  never be as cool as Chairman Kaga.  ^^;  Anyway, my favourite IC is Kobe, but his costume's too complicated for me to attempt at this stage (I'd need to buy more expensive material, too, so that's also a factor.  I'll probably make another one of these sometime, depending on how well this one goes over.
Costume Stats:
Start: December 2001 || Finish: May 2002
Length of Process: 1 month
Creator: WhiteMage_1
Appearances: Anime North 2002
Approx. Cost: $45
Future Appearances?: None planned
Construction:

Shirt: Well, I bought a black, shiny shirt from Goodwill and was planning to sew the ruffles onto it, but I didn't do a very good job of sewing the ruffles and my sewing machine broke down just following me figuring out how I was going to try making them again, so I ended up with two ruffled cuffs, the black shirt and a white ruffled shirt that I wore underneath, which I found at
Goodwill one day while looking for a Mishima Reika dress.  It ended up being very hot wearing two layers of shirts underneath the vest.  I was planning to sequin the ends of the cuffs, but I ran out of time.

Vest: Omg, pleather and sewing machines do not get along AT ALL.

I'll finish making this page later, but right now I lack patience. ^^
[More pictures coming soon, hopefully]

If you have a picture of me in this costume, please let me know.

Close-up of my ruffles, though the bow is a bit different.
One of the bows I had on my shoes.
