Stats:
Wake-up time: 8:30 a.m.
Hours of Sleep before con: 3
Costume(s): Satsuki Yatouji (X)
Merchandise Purchased: None

Was up late with last-minute con-related drama regarding the masquerade, but I finished most of my costume stuff.  The stuff that wasn't finished was to be hand-sewn while I was sitting in the dealer booth.  The costume packing was the most time-consuming part, since I wasn't going to be home in between convention days during the weekend.

Brian came to get me early and we loaded up the van with my stuff.  We still had to go and get his Kilik costume that night, since he needed to do some work of his own and hopefully pick up David's digicam.  We headed off to E.K. Trading around 10 or so and loaded up the merchandise before going out to dim sum and then to the convention.  Set up the booth and everything was pretty uneventful from then until my first panel.  Ran into Jen, Sharon, Gui, Lo and Monnie...Sharon was sporting a very styling trash bag jacket.  Not bad at all, girls. =P

Brian drove me to the Renaissance for my first panel, which was titled "When Good Anime goes Bad" and was about bad dubbing, editing, etc.  It basically turned into one big rant session for the audience.  It was fun, but one of my fellow panelists seemed to forget that he wasn't the ONLY panelist and another panelist spent most of his time being overly anal about how to pronounce this or that name with a specific intonation.  I give dubs a hard time, but really that's just...a little much, isn't it?  Ran into Jon, Ameer and Jon's brother, then went to watch Azumanga Daioh, since I had an hour to kill before my next panel.  The Shoujo Manga panel was fun, though shoujo is really not my specialty.  Jon Lee was on this panel with me, so at least I knew one of the panelists, even if I didn't know many of the series they discussed.  The WUSS girls showed up to support me, which was fantastic, though afterwards we had to deal with the mess that was the hotel room.  Wow, the Renaissance sucks ass...that's all I have to say on the matter of the room mix-ups.

We had dinner at Harvey's, which was pretty much the only place still open, then headed back to my place to pick up Anna's laptop powercord and then to Brian's.  We finished my Xianghua sword, fixed that costume's armbands and completed Andrew's staff at around 4 a.m.  Stayed over at his place because we were too tired to drive over to Scott's.  So much for getting a good night's rest, eh?  Oh well.  Spraypaint doesn't dry instantly, so not much we could do about the time issue.  Unfortunately, all the additions I wanted/needed to make to Leviathan didn't happen.
