NOTES ON MANUAL/DRIVER CD Ver:1.3-A
***********************************

The CD contains user guide and drivers/utilities for the notebook
computer you purchased. Four languages -- English, German, Japanese
and Chinese -- are available in the user guide.

Please read the following guidelines before using the user guide.
For drivers and utilities, please refer to the readme.txt file
located in this CD.

A. INSTALLING USER GUIDE
========================

Please install Windows series operating system (e.g. Windows 95, 98
or NT) and drivers (VGA and audio) first before installing the
electronic user guide. Refer to attached Quick Setup Manual for
operating system and driver installation steps.

To install the user guide, you can choose two ways:

1. From the manual/driver CD, copy the "Manual" directory (including
all files and subdirectories under it) to your Hard Disk Drive (HDD).
You can not change the directory's name (Manual) and the "Manual"
directory must be a root directory (e.g. "C:\Manual") in the HDD.

Next time, you do not need to insert this CD again whenever you want
to read the user guide.

2. Keep the manual/driver CD in the CD-ROM drive all the time
whenever you want to read the user guide. This method saves HDD
space but may run at a lower speed.

B. RUNNING USER GUIDE
=====================

Simply run the manual.exe. A main menu will pop up, so you can
select your preferred language. (English, German, Japanese or
Chinese)

C. VIEWING USER GUIDE
=====================

To view the user guide properly, we suggest that you set the
LCD/monitor to a resolution at least 800*600 and 256 colors.

D. HELP ON USER GUIDE
=====================
Please read the on-line help in the user guide to fully
manipulate all functions in the user guide.
