We go on a second honeymoon in New York with Barbara Bain and Martin Landau

They met, courted and fell in love in New York, but they married just before they went on a cross-country tour in a play and they never had a honeymoon in New York. The tour took them to Hollywood - where they stayed. Now ten years later, they returned to New York together for the first time. Martin had been back four years ago, alone, since Barbara had to stay with the children. Now they were both back enjoying the honeymoon they had both dreamed of when they were struggling for success. They stayed at the most luxurious suite at the Plaza and when they went window shopping along Fifth Avenue they knew that there wasn't anything they couldn't buy. But what they really enjoyed most was a stroll through Central Park - the same kind of stroll they took many times in the past - when they had nothing but their dreamss - and each other.

They spent a while relaxing at the Plaza fountain where tehy once had spent many long hours planning their future.

Both were intrigued by cornerstone plague outside their hotel which neither Martin nor Barbara had ever noticed before.

The unfinished BM building was a new sight. Gone forever was the old Savoy Plaza Hotel.

While walking along Fifth Avenue, Martin spied an Actors' Studio buddy.

Years ago both had wanted to curve their initials on a Oark tree but avoided temptation. They still did.

No one had ever asked for their autographs when they lived in Manhattan. Now they were besieged by fans - and love it.

A message from Mission: Impossible chief? Not quite. Martin couldn't resist a gag when he saw the new litter cons.
