| What: "Build Your Baby's Brain" Why: Certain Mozart compositions have helped learners raise their intelligence scores on spatial-temporal reasoning tests. The effect does not appear to last, but it can be reactivated at any time. How: Play different types of music for different effects. For example, positive energizing music at start of class, low volume background baroque to soothe and relax students, or Mozart's Piano Sonata in D Major before tasks involving spatial temporal reasong (assembling objects, building, puzzles, etc.). When I was pregnant, I used to play music for Max. We'll never know if it helped, but I'm sure it didn't hurt any! |
