You know people never talk politics and religion. They never want to be real. I prefer the openminded. I have my own views and I love to discuss controversial topics, but I also listen. I can't stand people who say they are openminded and won't listen. Listening does not mean you have to change your own opinion it just means you don't tell the other person they are wrong. I also hate hypocrits, the ones who say they are one way yet do not act the way they say they are. I could give you an example but I prefer not to offend some people..... okay since most people won't be reading this I will give an example. A supposed devote Catholic preaches tolerance and love and acceptance yet turns around and bad mouth's someone as soon as that person leaves the room. Which leaves me with the question, who is a real Christian? Is it Christian to tell someone they are going to Hell if the person doesn't believe the same as you? Doesn't the Bible show that one leads by example? Here is a question for many people if Adam and Eve had two sons Cain and Abel and Adam and Eve were the only humans on Earth How did the race ever survive? Well .....? I am not saying Christianity is wrong, I used to say my prayers every night. Recently I have been reading, many religions, many beliefs, and I may not even be Christian anymore; but the one thing I have learned is that in every religion I have studied there is one common denominator; treat others well, and a basic golden rule of treating others as you would treat yourself. I have been reading so much and much of it becomes part of me... no I don't change religions like underwear, and my basic beliefs have never changed....my basic beliefs are so simple. Harm no one, try to be forgiving even though it may be hard, try never to bad mouth anyone, and to be kind to anyone who is less fortunate than myself.... when I say that I not only mean giving money to the poor but also to say a kind word to people who are bitter, to make someone laugh when thier spirits are dampened, to show care to someone who thinks no one does. I feel that life revolves around interaction. People wonder at the meaning of life, or why they are here. I asked that for the longest time after the several years of this self questioning research into life and pondering it occured to me that perhaps the meaning of life is to enrich each other.... to bring your best into life give the most of yourself and take care to practice what you preach make your thoughts into action. Life is what you make it if you always look to the bad side that is all you will ever see. These are my views my beliefs I do not foist them on anyone, if someone wishes to read or listen I offer it, if not that is okay too. I did not write this to offend and apologize if it did..... |
