These last three were a series i did based on Audobon's Blue Heron, for a class assignment. The idea was to take an original painting by a published artist, photo copy it black and white, then only take a very small section of it and blow it up. Then paint it using different color schemes. One first one is a small section done in all shades of orange,red-orange and yellow-orange. The last is a small section done in greens. But because the photocopy was so dark Ihad to infer the idea of leaves without being sure what they were. Which is how I got that nice transparency look to it. After doing that we had to take the two and do a combination of the two in shades of grey. These are my three favorite paintings. |
