What is Cyborg?
It was
originally considered that Cyborg is the way to describe how people
are recently adapting themselves with the new technology.
Its a
mixture of machine and human, that seems like a new creature of social
reality or of imaginary tale.
Cyborgs are symbiotic fusions
of organic life and technological systems. From the Six-Million-Dollar
man to the Terminator, cyborgs have populated the American cold-war
space-race imagination for decades, evolving in tandem with our
cultural attachment to technological solutions to life problems.
We
are immersed in cyborgs; they saturate our language, our media, our
technology, and our ways of being. (Davis-Floyd and Dumit,
1998).[1]
Consequently; Cyborg has blurred the boundaries between people and
machines. The nowadays panic is from losing the spirit of being human.
..the
cyborg accurately represents human selves as affected by techno-life
and thus reliably orients us in the world we inhabit
(Brenda E. Brasher).[2] |
