These days, it is hard to find a story in the news that explains the whole situation rather than a piece of it. To find the whole story, sadly, can involve tedious research and reading from a number of different sources. But I believe strongly, that an expression of opinion is better respected when backed up with facts.
I try to be fair and open about the news I share in The Political Brief, but my main goal is to get a basic overview of stories that may not have been covered much or well in the mainstream media. My hope is that the reader then does their own further research before forming an opinion on the matter, as my news still tends to lean to the Left.
The Second aspect to The Political Brief, would be the responses from the readers, and editorials from myself and my staff. These responses share with the readers what others out there are feeling and thinking about these current events. They are also good for bringing up points and facts that one may not have discovered in their own findings.
This is the heart of The Political Brief, the newsletter. This website, provides another set of ingredients. This website is mainly devoted to my personal beliefs and political interests as a more liberal mind. The cartoons, video clips, and other items on this site were all hand picked to express my points of view.
That is not all this site has to offer though, it also supplies the latest issue of The Politica Brief in the convienient .PDF format, accompilations of past issues of The Political Brief sold in Booklet form, Political Brief merchandise, and an online open forum for political discussions among visitors to the site where you can also write a response that may go in a future issue.
