7.01 – The Last Temptation of Christmas
Homer becomes drunk and inadvertently drives through a Christmas nativity scene on his way home. Whilst Marge sees this as a senseless act of drink-driving, several Springfieldians come to believe he has committed a hate crime. Homer realises he will have to confess to drink-driving if he wants to clear his name before Christmas day.
7.02 – M*A*R*G*E
After helping Lisa get through chicken pox, Marge is encouraged to become a nurse and decides to go into training. However, Homer begins to worry that as Marge’s career flourishes, she will forget about her family, and becomes determined to put an end to her plans. When Marge finds out, she must make a difficult decision regarding her lifestyle.
7.03 – Bart and Lisa’s Bogus Journey
Bart becomes determined to get Krusty’s autograph and convinces Lisa to go with him. However, on their arrival, they discover Krusty isn’t there and the event has been rescheduled. Bart and Lisa soon realise they don’t know the way home and are lost in the middle of Springfield. Back at home, Marge is panicking about their whereabouts.
7.04 – The Old Barney Dance
Marge is thrilled when she discovers that Chloe is in town for the weekend, but is somewhat upset when Chloe explains that she’d rather spend time with her high-school boyfriend – Barney! Homer is furious when Chloe tries to make Barney sober against his will and teams up with Marge to end their relationship, but problems inevitably ensue.
7.05 – It Came from Beneath the House
Bart and Lisa are becoming scared of noises coming from the basement every night, so Marge and Homer decide to investigate. They are startled to discover that washed-up lawyer Lionel Hutz has been living secretly in their basement for months, and become determined to do whatever it takes to get him to leave and stop scaring their kids.
7.06 – To Hell and Jack
Homer tries to help his old manager on the golf course, Jack Redwood, make a success of his life and starts spending more time with him than with his family. Marge becomes concerned about Homer’s activity and decides to investigate the allegations, leaving Grampa to baby-sit Bart and Lisa, who are more mischievous than ever before.
7.07 – Independence Gay
Marge becomes concerned when she discovers Evergreen Terrace is playing host to a gay rights parade and worries about the affect it will have on Bart and Lisa. When Homer catches Bart hanging out with a group of gay protestors, he teams up with Marge, Ned and Maude to stop the remaining scheduled parades from going ahead.
7.08 – Fat Man and Little Troy
Homer and Marge are outraged when Bart loses a role in a diaper commercial to washed-up actor Troy McClure, and, determined to make Bart’s dream come true, they try to find Troy alternative work. Meanwhile, back at home, Grampa is babysitting Lisa and discovers she is a genius – unfortunately, he forgets about this in minutes.
7.09 – American Fad
Bart becomes determined to catch up with the latest fads at the Springfield day-care centre but is always one step behind. Teaming up with Lisa, Bart decides to create his own fad but is overwhelmed by his sudden popularity. Homer, meanwhile, becomes Bart’s financial advisor but takes his role far too seriously, much to Marge’s dismay.
7.10 – Bar Wars: Episode V
Homer is vexed to find that Lionel Hutz is helping a customer who was thrown out of Moe’s Tavern to sue the bar. Homer becomes determined to stop the place from being shut down and decides to get his own lawyer, but after many unsuccessful interviews he teams up with Troy McClure instead, who has had a grudge with Hutz for a long time.
7.11 – Homey Guitar
Homer inadvertently injures a guitarist in Christian rock band Cool Jesus (Franz Ferdinand once again guest star) and becomes determined to find an alternative to postponing an upcoming concert. After many unsuccessful attempts to find a replacement, Homer desperately tries to learn the guitar, mainly because Bart is so impressed.
7.12 – Xpel-Men
Homer and Marge are horrified to discover that Bart has been expelled from the Springfield day-care centre and become desperate to get some good recommendation for him to be transferred elsewhere. However, Principal Tomlinson has had enough of his shenanigans and refuses to help, so Marge hires Lionel Hutz, much to Homer’s dismay.
7.13 – The Man You Loved to Date
On request by Marge, Homer tries to help Selma find a date for a cousin’s wedding, but after many unsuccessful attempts he disguises himself as a blonde bodybuilder. Selma falls for his trick and they go to the wedding, but Marge is getting suspicious over his whereabouts and after discovering the truth, worries that Selma will ultimately be hurt.
