6.01 – Imperfect Nanny
Homer and Marge are settling down to life in Evergreen Terrace but find themselves unable to consummate their marriage due to the constant care newborn baby Lisa requires. Homer suggests they look for a nanny and after several interviews, he and Marge agree to hire Michael Scott, a college graduate whom Bart immediately dislikes.
6.02 – Meet the Flanders
Homer and Marge introduce themselves to their neighbors, Ned and Maude Flanders, but begin to suspect they are trying to coax Bart into the Christian religion. Homer suggests they start avoiding the Flanders family, but when Marge develops a friendship with Maude, she has trouble keeping up with her promise and Homer is furious when he finds out.
6.03 – Bully Elliot
Homer and Marge are shocked to discover that Bart has a problem with another student at the Springfield Day-Care Centre, later realising he has been bullying a boy named Elliot. Homer and Marge try to get the message through to Bart that bullying is wrong, but face the incurring wrath of Elliot’s outraged parents who are threatening to sue.
6.04 – The House That Love Ruined
Marge decides to join a book club to keep her mind off her children but can’t find anything else to talk about with the other women, later worrying about what her life has become. Meanwhile, back at the house, Homer struggles to keep everything in order for Marge’s return and ends up losing control to Bart, who makes a mess of everything.
6.05 – Homer on Guard
Marge prepares for Chloe’s visit but worries that, ever since her miscarriage, she has become desperate for a child and is planning to take either Bart or Lisa. Homer agrees to “guard” the kids whilst Marge spends some time with Chloe, but when Chloe finds out what is happening, she is outraged that Marge thinks this way about her.
6.06 – Snowball Day
Bart becomes jealous when Lisa gets a pet cat, whom she names Snowball, and becomes determined to get an animal of his own. Unable to get his message across to Homer and Marge, Bart sneaks into the Flanders’ house and steals Rod’s dog. However, Bart’s guilt soon gets the best of him when Ned starts putting up “missing” posters.
6.07 – Old Cat New Tricks
Lisa becomes determined to teach Snowball some tricks and enlists the help of Homer. Marge begins to worry that Homer and Lisa are putting too much pressure on Snowball and tries to stop them from going too far. However, as a result of this, Lisa is upset and won’t stop crying, and Homer is furious because he can’t get the sleep he needs.
6.08 – Pranks for Nothing
Bart befriends Elliot at the Springfield Day-Care Centre but realises that his parents still don’t like him. Bart becomes desperate to make a good impression on Elliot’s parents, but they still consider him to be a badly behaved prankster and don’t want anything to do with him. Bart talks to Homer, but soon regrets it when he just makes things worse.
6.09 – Raiders of the Lost Bart
Bart feels guilty when he inadvertently gets nanny Michael Scott fired by Homer and Marge, and becomes desperate to get him back. When he realises Lisa knows where Michael lives, Bart tries to coax her into telling him but she is still having trouble getting out words. Bart decides to follow Lisa instead, but they end up getting themselves lost.
6.10 – Bar Wars: Episode IV
Marge returns to work at Moe’s Tavern but becomes increasingly worried about leaving Bart and Lisa with Michael Scott. To make things worse, Moe has already hired someone to fill Marge’s void, but doesn’t want to fire her because she is sleeping with him. Marge finds herself fighting for the job, until she finally decides to remain a homemaker.
6.11 – I Wait, Therefore I Am
Homer is forced to become a waiter at a restaurant to re-pay damage Bart has caused, but after several blunders he desperately tries to convince his boss to give him another chance as an alternative to community service. Marge, meanwhile, begins to get worried about Bart’s reckless behaviour and considers taking him to a psychiatrist.
6.12 – Love Me Do Not
Marge is upset when Homer forgets their anniversary and decides to take Bart and Lisa to a motel on the outskirts of Springfield. Homer, meanwhile, mistakenly thinks that Marge has run off with another man and has taken the kids with her, and becomes desperate to track her down. Bart and Lisa begin to worry about their bickering parents.
6.13 – Clip Show
Homer and Marge celebrate a year of living at Evergreen Terrace by looking back at their lives together in a half-hour retrospective featuring clips from past episodes.
