Accounting Minor (BACT) Accounting is involved in a wide variety of careers. RIT undergraduate students from outside the Saunders College of Business (SCB) will gain analytical and organizational skills that are an integral part of the accounting minor. SCB students completing a major in something other than accounting will broaden their learning experiences and professional opportunities by having more depth in operational accounting topics. Financial Accounting and either Managerial Accounting or Cost and Managerial Accounting are required courses. Three additional courses must be selected from the elective list and two of the three electives must be accounting courses (must begin with a 0101 course number).

The Accounting program at St. John Fisher College is known for providing exceptional graduates to the accounting profession because of our commitment to achieving excellence in accounting education. To do this, we prepare students with an understanding of the current accounting and management theories, the practical applications of those theories, and the ethical problems which they might encounter in their professional lives. Our Accounting graduates are also prepared to adapt to the rapid changes of a global economy. Accounting faculty members strive to be involved with all aspects of the students preparation for entering the accounting profession.
"The liberal arts approach Fisher has to business prepares the whole person for leadership in our economy." Germaine Knapp, President, WORDSmart
