This page is a collection of different vehicle concept sketches. Here, we hope to have a collection of designs which meet several different ride demands. Many of these designs are based on existing ride vehicles, but several of them come from completely original ideas which aim to give park guests a totally new ride experience. This is an original design based on the existing Jeep vehicles from the Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland. The theme the vehicle was designed around is obviously a western adventure theme.
It is a similar motion-simulator vehicle, but it was coneptualized to have animatronic horses attached to a harness extending from the base of the vehicle. The pole extending from the base would allow the animatronics to be suspended over the ground by 1 or 2 feet. The ultimate goal for this design is that it would give riders the appearance that the horses were pulling the vehicles through the ride.
In the end, it may appear like a good idea. But it is questionable if such narrow wooden wheels could handle such a large weight load while taking such quick turns in the ride. But, maybe a trained engineer would disagree with that observation. |

This image was done by Hyperion77, depicting a raft which is "just begging to fall apart." While the image is not very detailed, the concept behind the design is very sound, and is exactly the kind of creative thinking the imagineers use towards their designs. Great job! |
