| In Gujarat, the VHP puts its pamphlet where BJP mouth is Janyala Sreenivas Ahmedabad, April 12: The sum total of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad�s new ��consciousness�� campaign is contained in a two-page pamphlet in Gujarati printed on blue-coloured paper that�s now doing the rounds of the state. Issued in the name of VHP state treasurer Chinubhai Patel, the pamphlet aims to raise the ��conscience�� of Hindus, and asks them to ��save our country by boycotting Muslims economically and socially.�� The pamphlet is being handed to its targets when they�re on their morning walks or at traffic intersections. Others are receiving it in their mail boxes. ��I have come to meet you personally today. I have to tell you a very important and serious matter. You are a very important and responsible citizen of this country. But you and your family are in danger and their is a threat to your life. I have come to warn you about this,�� says the pamphlet. When contacted, Chinubhai Patel said the pamphlet was ��an official publication of the VHP. We have printed it.�� Some of its observations and suggestions include: � ��What is your security even in the most decent and secure locality in spite of having security guards? Traitors and terrorists are coming by the truckloads. They will kill your security guards and enter your bungalows. They murder you in your drawing rooms and bed rooms.�� � ��Those who talk of Hindu-Muslim unity are only maligning their own religion. There can be no equality between Hindus and Muslims. They do not consider Bharat as their motherland. Hindu-Muslim unity is a farce. Communal harmony and brotherhood is all a drama.�� � ��The day their (the Muslim) population becomes 25 or 30 per cent, that day Hindus will be in danger. They will then divide the country into many Pakistans and raise Islam�s green flag on Delhi�s Red Fort. That is their final dream.�� � ��In Godhra, they have killed Ram sevaks returning from Ayodhya. Even Justice Verma of the Human Rights Commission was disturbed after seeing the burnt coaches. Can you imagine what must have happened to the kar sevaks? Godhra was just one incident. It was just a trailer, the real picture is still to start. Many Godhras will be repeated.�� � ��To tackle all these Islamic problems, all Hindus must make proper contributions. We must organise ourselves, join Hindu organisations and make financial contributions.�� � ��The Vishwa Hindu Parishad is a strong and powerful organisation of Hindus in the country as well as all over the world. After Godhra, cases against several VHP members and Hindus have been registered and many of them are in prison now. They are sacrificing their lives for our country, religion and society. While they are in prison, it is our duty to protect their families and keep them from starving... You will only be following your dharma by doing so.�� |
