Sewing Updates and Information

Welcome to the "Sewing Updates and Information" page of my Sewing Room. This is just a page updating the status of my current projects, what is going on in my "sewing world" and other info I would just like to share!

• I ordered the 1880's dress pattern (from my projects page) and I have received it. I am still trying to find the right fabric. Has to be just right! Anyone have any suggestions on what I should use?
  
  

• A new fabric store opened up in my town...Joann Fabrics. Reminds me a lot of Cloth World (used to be one in another city I lived in). Looks like it will be a fun place to shop. I can't wait until they get all their stock in!
  
  
• When I was visiting Joann's I noticed they had a sewing machine department set up already. Well I just had to go over and look. I've been needing a new serger for some time now... I put a deposit on a Huskylock 910. The stitches on it are just beautiful. It should be in by the end of the week! I'll be sure to put a picture up when I get it.
  
  
• 9/13 - I did get that serger, and have had it for over a month now! I have not used it much, unfortunately. I am still waiting on film to get developed! (I am a big procrastinator). As soon as I do, you will be the first to see the pictures!
• Speaking of pictures, I am working on getting my sewing room just right - wanting to take some pictures. I will put up an actual "sewing room" page when I do. I am still working on getting pictures of some other projects and old dresses I have made. (This stuff takes time!)
