Chapter 9

Christina curled up on her grandmother's window seat. Her mom, sister, and Grandma had all gone to the supermarket.  She was all alone and was going to write Justin a letter.

Hey Justin!
Yeah.  We're finally here.  Grandma got a new kitten,
Fluff (real original I know) she's so cute (you know
how much I like cats) Fluff is white and fluffy so adorable.
A lot of things are just the same as when I was little .
There's the old tree in the backyard with the same swing.
It used to be one of my favorite spots when i was little.
I used to swing as high as I could singing my heart out
to the clouds, before i would know it the day was all gone.
But enough about me. How are you? How's Ryan?
Tell him I said hi!  I miss you guys so much!
I'm taking lots of pictures for you. And don't worry.
I'll write more later. Oh and if you see Brit,
tell her a letter is on it's way.
See You Soon,
Love,
Christina

" See you soon, Love, Christina." Justin read, finishing the letter. Smiling to himself he stuck the letter in his back pocket.
He sat down in the shed's big chair and started writing.

Christina,
How are you?I'm fine but the summer would be much better if you were here.
Then again it's not that bad. Just kidding. My dad set up the new basketball
net in our driveway. The old basketball is kinda flat(after the whole "incident"
Ryan had with it) but I haven't got around to buying a new one. Me and Ryan
pretty much play basketball all day. Britney come and plays sometimes, too.
But not too much 'cause her mom makes her brother ride her over on their
bikes and he's not too big on that. But maybe Miss Lynn will let her come
over  by herself 'cause that girl can play! She's got a defense you wouldn't
believe. Wait my mama's yelling for me (or maybe it's Ryan :) ) So I gotta go.
Love Ya,
Justin

P.S. Ryan says hi and come back soon. So we can play some two on two.
Brit says she got your letter and one for you is on it's way.

"Brit says she got the letter and one for you is on it's way." Christina finished reading to herself. Smiling she closed the mailbox and strolled back up the sidewalk.

Justin lay on his driveway, throwing his basketball in the air and catching it again and again. He was very bored. If Christina was with him, they'd be doing something fun,She always had crazyfun ideas.
Justin's mom,Lynn came out of the house.

"Justin?Honey, what are you doing?" She stood over him, hands on hips.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" He retorted.

"Don't get smart with me, little boy!" She commanded.

Justin sighed. " Sorry mama, I'm bored and..." he trailed off.

" Oh! You miss Christina!" Lynn squealed, pressing her hands to her heart.

"Maw-maaah!" Justin whined, face turning red.

"Sorry, sweetie." she said, with a knowing smile.

Justin layed back on the ground. "I'm still bored.Bored, bored, bored, bored." Lynn reached down and ruffled Justin's wildly, curly hair.

"Justin, honey, do something productive please." She turned and went inside.

"That's easy for you to say." Justin mumbled as he tryed to smooth down his now out of place hair. He sighed. Ryan has went back to Canada and wasn't coming back till a few weeks before the new season of the show started and Christina was still gone for awhile yet. Even Britney was on vacation.

"Justin! Telephone!" his mom called from inside. Justin sighed even in his boredom, people interuppted him. He ran up to his room and picked up the extension.

"Hello?"

"Justin?" A voice hesitated."It's Christina."

Justin laughed." Don't worry, Chrissy. I'd recognize your voice anywhere."

Christina laughed. "I thought I would recognize your voice, too. Did you voice change while I was gone?" She teased as Justin laughed.

"So what's up?" Christina asked.

"Not much." Justin chuckled. You have no idea. he thought.

"Are you having tons of fun without me?" Christina asked and Justin could see her making her pouty face. His spirits lifted at the thought.

"Never!" he said, with mock innosense. "Where are you at?"

" We're just about to leave. We are spending a few weeks of vacation at a spa resort!" She said happily. "We should be back a couple of weeks before the new season starts."

"And you wanted call before you were too busy to talk to me." He teased.

"Never!" She said, the same way he had.

"Christina! Let's go!" Justin heard in the background, Christina sighed.

"Well Justin we are leaving now. I'll write you everyday."

"Yeah right," Justin smiled.

"Okay, well I'll try." Christina giggled."Bye Justin, see you soon."

"Bye, Chrissy." When he got off the phone, he felt a hundred times worse then before.

I have to something to keep my mind off of her.he thought. I'll do something for her.Suddenly an idea popped into his head. He didn't know how he'd keep a secret like this to himself.
