This site was inspired by a reader's letter to Mothering magazine in 2005 and is intended as a resource for moms who wish to find a private spot to nurse their children or to pump milk.

I hope that I can gather enough information to enable any woman to nurse in private regardless of where she is. I also equally hope that moms nursing in public will become more prevalent; that many a mom will find the courage to do so and smile at those who are curious or even hostile, and set a beautiful example to other women, girls and - well, mankind in general.
