| Cel Animation A Simple Overview |
| Cel Animation is a series of drawings that are photographed. The first step is sketch drawings of frames where the movement is key. Then backgrounds are created separtate from the animation. The drawings can be done on may levels so that some parts of the animation can stay still while the other moves. The drawing are done on cels that used to be made of plant material, but are now a kind of plastic. Cycling is done by repeating the same drawing sequences. This type of animaiton is very involved and takes some time to learn. Various insitutions offer intensive classes in animation, Computer animation is slowly taking over.
