In two minds
Optimistic
Lady of my enduring dream, I wait
Patroness of my fondness, I can wait
Though time attests me, I’ll stand here with faith;
To be with you, reason enough to wait.
The spell you’ve cast, enfolded so strong
That what you do to me, ‘twas never wrong
The state you’ve gone, unmatched by anyone
Such grace enticing never looks so spanned;
Beauty you revealed, superb, unequalled
Acts were gentle, pious, so spiritual
Even monarchs rage war to win such gal;
But still, unmatched with my zeal to exalt
For heroes will lose worth if they’ll just know
How affliction had left my head unbowed.
All these I plead to such wonderful friend
My angel, hopefully, my girl in end.
Pessimistic
Lady of my enduring dream, I wait
Patroness of my fondness, I can wait
Though time attests me, I’ll stand here with faith;
To be with you, reason enough to wait.
The spell you’ve cast, enfolded so strong
That what you do to me, ‘twas never wrong
The state you’ve gone, unmatched by anyone
Such grace enticing never looks so spanned;
But anxiety covered and dragged me down-
Had my thoughts locked and got my heart to frown,
And so with hope I beseech for my fate
Not be so flattered to anticipate,
That luck favored my side, gaining your love
Yet fooled, had my eyes sore, ending in sob.
